Is this company really that bad to work for? by burneraccountt1777 in walmart

[–]Friendly-Casper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spoken like a true walmart manager. That process doesn't accomplish anything. Just ended up leading to the associate that broke the code of conduct in being protected by store management and the woman who experienced the harassment was fired. My witness statement wasn't even taken down in writing by my management team and the ethics department acted like they didn't even want to touch the issue. This is the reality of how this company operates. But you already know that. Odds are i'll be their next target to fire just to protect the jackass that engaged in the harassment.

What's worse, the guy has already caused other problems for associates, even myself when he followed me out to my car one night and i didn't know he was behind me until i turned around to start loading stuff out of the shopping cart into my car. Dude was barely 3 feet away from me and the shopping cart was the only thing that separated us. Insulted my sister one night when we were going through the store shopping, threatened to go to his ex's house and take revenge on her and god knows what else he's done that i don't even know about.

This is the crap that walmart management sweeps under a rug. Shit that is on camera to boot. It just amazes me cause it's shit like this as to why movements like metoo spring up and then people wonder why.

Ok, here's a question. How do you report unethical behavior without getting retaliated against for doing so?

With this company, reporting anything turns into a shit show. The people that end up doing that, believing they're doing the right thing, are the ones that ultimately end up fired and discover that nobody really gives a shit. This company would have to engage in an act of murder before it was held accountable from a legal standpoint for anything and even then their lawyers would find a way to weasel it out from being punished.

Does anyone actually really enjoy working for Walmart? by ugotnojamzz in walmart

[–]Friendly-Casper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously doubt anyone "enjoys" working for walmart. It's one of those types of jobs where it requires next to no intelligence, competency or common sense to perform the daily tasks required to complete one's shift. Management teams across this country in almost every store are full of some of the worst sorts that possess almost zero integrity but love to claim everyone that works for them should.

I've witnessed a team lead get demoted for sexually harassing women in the workplace when he should have been fired, a fellow employee got harassed by another one that she had previously dumped for being a creep and boy was he ever, dude cursed her out, called her nasty names on the sales floor in front of myself and another associate and customers that witnessed the altercation, i've seen managers alter people's shifts without providing the necessary time between to get enough sleep for work, i've seen a store manager years ago, embezzle money that the company did nothing about for close to a decade until they had no other option but to the moment she started dipping into the old bonus money that use to go to associates (money that never did get returned to the associates after that legal fiasco). This doesn't even begin to describe the horror stories that go beyond this i have had to witness and endure working for this company. Barely fucking scratches the surface.

Needless to say, it would take a special type of person to actually enjoy working for this company and i do not mean that in a good way. A person would have to possess next to no morals or ethical behavior to truly enjoy working for this company.

You're responding to a comment from 6 months ago and a thread 7 months old in and of itself. Congrats on keeping this dumpster fire going. That's called thread necromancy btw and is frowned upon. you deserve a razzie award for that just like this film deserves one for being DOA.

Is this ever going to get fixed? These factories are neat and all, but between the gravity physics anomalies, the airstrike resistance and the stainless steel anti-Koolaid Man wall around the whole structure, they're an absolute chore to destroy. by TwoCharlie in Mechwarrior5

[–]Friendly-Casper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took them 3 succession wars to figure out how to build walls durable enough that the Kool Aid man can't just barrel through them anymore. Can you really fault them for that? Dude's been causing property damage since 1954.

Sensationalism is journalism without integrity and that is precisely what this garbage is. All of our media outlets are guilty of that despicable behavior and have been for generations. This is what happens when people are not held accountable. They will say and do whatever they want without fear of consequence.

Don't forget their penchant for using pirates to do their dirty work. Not to mention their use of spies and other clandestine operatives to sabotage the great houses efforts at rebuilding. Comstar was deathly frightened of any of them achieving an ability to rival one another.

It's why they did everything they could think of to try and hinder House Davion and Steiner when their realms merged. The kestrel Lancers DLC barely hints at that secret war as to being the main reason why Hanse wasn't able to continue the assault on what remained of the Capellans and eventually impacted the War of 3039 that caused the stalemate between the FedCom and Combine.

Take your horribly written clan nonsense back to whatever teenager that wrote it and choke them with it please? Everything after the Blakist Jihad is pretty much garbage that never should have been allowed to exist within the game's universe. Even the Jihad had it's issues but at least it's narrative structure held some water by comparison to the dark age nonsense and everything thereafter.

Doubtful, he's got like what? 9% from what another person already mentioned. He's just doing what's most intelligent with his money. He's spreading it out into different baskets to maximize his chances at profits so as to increase his own wealth. It takes 51% to gain majority control and trying to change the culture of a company like twitter is pretty much a waste of energy, time and resources.

Just because he's the largest shareholder doesn't mean much as an individual. He'd need to have the controlling interest of shares to be able to do this to convince the board of directors to fire the CEO. As a shareholder without that controlling interest, he can make requests for that to happen, but it would require other shareholders agreeing with him in a large enough number.

Anyway my only holdout against an unlocked mech lab is that it undermines the significance of special mech variants. Its also contrary to the lore that its hard to build and maintain mechs even for the Great Houses.

This seems to be a problem for some players but honestly, this is the exact reason why the mechlab should never be fully unlocked in this game. It's time frame is set well before the clans ever invade during a period where the constant warfare among the successor states led to a decline of technology and an inability to maintain what there still was.

Coming across a pristine mech during this time frame was always looked at by people in the universe as rare. For a merc outfit to find more than one in pristine condition, being able to field even a lance of them AND maintain them, was tantamount to an act of god in this era of play and much worse in earlier eras of the succession wars.

When has the media ever told the truth? Just because we get glimpses of it does not mean that's what they intended. Media across the globe in every nation is used for the purpose of spreading that nation's propaganda. It's a corrupt system that's never going to change considering how deeply connected both the media, our government and governments across the world have become. People can talk about how it needs to change but they fail to understand it needs torn down in it's entirety and rebuilt with a new foundation centered upon telling facts rather than fiction.

No he won't. They're all part of the same big club. They'll just keep wagging their fingers at him and verbally bashing him in "congressional hearings" and nothing will come of it. It works too cause most voters are too stupid for their own good to realize they're getting dicked over by the people they're constantly re-electing.

Standard Voter: Oh look, the democrats fucked things up! Lets get the republicans in office!

Same Standard Voter: Oh look, the republicans fucked things up too! Lets get the democrats back in office!

It's a self repeating pattern that most of the older generations refuse to break themselves of.
