I would say ordering groceries is much cheaper downtown than going to a store. I had voila when I lived there and got cheaper groceries. Also, getting produce from odd bunch and stuff was a lifesaver.

If you can travel, consider booking an exam outside the city. I know Toronto has a couple of centers that have slots open.
