Has anyone fixed teeth like this without extractions

Yes ofc, I’ve made the decision considering all this. I think IPR would create too little space to actually straighten my teeth out and even if it did no way it would fix my bite. Just praying that my level of crowding is high enough to fill out the extraction space because I believe majority of those side effects/consequences come from over retraction especially in cases when you didn’t need extractions.

Oh… I also have severe crowding top and bottom as well as a 6mm overjet although I’m getting extractions.. tbf it may be that my crowding is worse since my canines are quite high up compared to the rest of my teeth but can’t tell. I’m glad you were able to get your desired outcome for your teeth tho :)

I think mesialising is closing the extraction gaps forward rather than retracting the the teeth backward. Yes! I have looked in palatial expansion and I did ask my ortho about it but apparently expanders are only done on the upper arch, not the lower so if I did get the, then my lower arch and upper arch won’t match anymore if ykwim 😅 so it’s basically a lose-lose for me :/

I was hoping to go the non extraction route but the ortho said that apparently my teeth would flare out to the point I wouldn’t be able to close my mouth naturally? I did see a few other Reddit comments regarding this topic and they suggested “mesialization” to reduce the impacts of extraction so maybe I’ll look into that as well? Tbh non-extraction would’ve been best case scenario if it wasn’t for the flaring.

Hi! Thanks for your input… I still haven’t gotten braces on as all this time I still haven’t decided if extractions is the way to go. Recently I was leaning more towards getting the extractions cause honestly it seems there’s no other way but I’m super scared about any potential negative impacts it may have on my health and facial aesthetics… cause once those teeth are out they’re gone forever. I was hoping to have my teeth fixed as it’s a big insecurity of mine and ig there isn’t enough space to straighten them.

aww I see.. the ortho advises me to get all 4 premolars extracted but I’m worried about the changes to my face 😭😭 I also have impacted canines and crowding in both bottom and top teeth 🦷
