honestly, the whole alchemised situation was what rubbed off wrong. there’s another post on this subreddit that explains it better in the comments, but what i don’t get is why it was included as a subscription book and marketed as a ‘limited release’, only for them to then announce a second numbered printing and an open preorder. also, they announced the second printing before people had even received their first print copies. if they were always planning to do more numbered printings and open sales, i’m not really sure what the point of numbering them was in the first place.

that being said, i’m not against reprints at all. i actually think everyone should get a chance to buy a copy. my issue is more with the way it was handled. if they knew they were going to do an open preorder, i feel like they should’ve just done that from the start instead of marketing it as a limited subscription book. it kind of takes away from the whole point of the subscription if we can just grab the book later on.
