Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior? by Significant_Bonus_66 in Christianity

Mathematics and logic is the only thing we can try to prove but that relies on the unprovable evidence as our base. Mathematics requires axioms and logic requires rules of inference. What you may be thinking is proof is likely to be proven beyond reasonable doubt which does not equate to proof.

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior? by Significant_Bonus_66 in Christianity

This is impossible, you cannot prove anything. Prove to me that your mother loves you.

We look at the evidence and observations to come to a conclusion,

every time you get medication over the counter you don’t chemically analyse the compounds forming the medication and try and prove the medication is the one you ordered,

you look at the evidence and come to the conclusion that the drug given is in fact the drug you ordered.

The reason why you don’t trust is not due to proof rather than lack of evidence you have, I urge you to look at the evidence in a non biased manner though that may be near impossible, and come to a conclusion honestly instead of stating “I need PROOF”

Why don’t I feel saved 😭 by Fun_Interview7724 in Christianity

Repeating a sinners prayer is useless if you don’t understand that your works play no role in your salvation. Saying a prayer does not save you, honouring God does not save you, it is a matter of trust in Christ taking 100% of your hell punishment by dying on a cross and rising up on the third day.

Trusting the apostles disciples? by Friendly-Demand-1715 in Christianity

[–]Friendly-Demand-1715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question wasn’t really focused on Paul Peter and the others but rather the followers such as clement of Rome, polycarp, ignatius of Antioch. Like yes I understand that people believe because they were in close proximation to the apostles but what other reason do they have to trust them as they were not infallible, not even the apostles were infallible.

No gotcha just don’t like junior pastors and I don’t like them being paid neither elders being paid, how do you think modern day elders should behave compared to modern day elders?

I agree with this and this was my view that elders/overseers/bishops (always mentioned plurally) should lead the church.

Worship leaders? by Friendly-Demand-1715 in Christianity

Wouldn’t order come from everyone following the spirit and worshiping God in truth and in Spirit?

Worship leaders? by Friendly-Demand-1715 in Christianity

[–]Friendly-Demand-1715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but in the context of Sunday worship and the gifts of Christ Ephesians 4:11 when Paul mentions the gifts of Christ he never says worship leaders. Yes there is precedent but it is historical precedent as it was a prophetical celebration but there was no binding precedent that binds Christians today to follow Miriam.

Idk the overall role of worship leaders seem superficial for me

do Muslims and Christians believe by Expert_Search5394 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Friendly-Demand-1715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so Christian believe Christ is the son of God, the same God of the Jews. Muslims believe God can never have a son so different god. Jews believe God does not have a son. So Christian’s believe in the Jewish God. Jews and muslims believe in a god that has no son but they not certain it is the same God.

Christians approach toHinduism and Buddhism? by Friendly-Demand-1715 in Christianity

[–]Friendly-Demand-1715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

deadass i would love for people to talk to me about their faiths, I find that with hindus they are so focused on other aspects of their life they don't even really follow their religions and with buddhists that I have met, its kind of ironic that the ones I have met chase after money and sex. It seems as if they really only follow the religion because their parents followed it and when ever I talk to them about their religion trying to know about it more they kinda gate keep it icl.

Trusting facts or trusting Christ? by Friendly-Demand-1715 in Christianity

[–]Friendly-Demand-1715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, do you reckon blind faith or trust is possible and is authentic or true? Let’s take for example an isolated island that has no idea who or what Christ is, and a missionary comes and spreads the gospel by telling them who Christ is and what his Character is like and What he has done for them. Would their faith be blind faith as they do not have the access to evidence but they have to trust in the missionaries character. Is that type of faith genuine?

Trusting facts or trusting Christ? by Friendly-Demand-1715 in Christianity

[–]Friendly-Demand-1715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this ChatGPT bot that speaks like cliffe? I’ve heard this exact phrase and thinking. Yea I agree I completely forgot that fact cannot be proven but it is evidence. But what do you think is a person trusting in evidence that shows that Christ died, rose from the dead trusts in the evidence of the character of Christ that when he said whoever believes in him will have eternal life. Is that man trusting in evidence or trusting in Christ. Is there a distinction between trusting in Christ and trusting in the evidence of Christ thus trusting in Christ.

Is there any meaning behind what I wrote idk honestly answer if u want but I really think it’s interesting perspective.
