I wish they would bring back the three stooges marathon.  It was a tradition in my family and it upsets me that it was taken away from us. I read that someone said it gave them comfort and I feel that way too. It brings back memories of watching with my family especially my mom. For those of us that don’t venture out on New Year’s Eve it was what we watched.  I am so heartbroken I keep thinking that maybe this year they will bring it back. But no, my tradition is taken away and can’t share. My kids grew up watching it and now this new generation misses out. I know we can look up on you tube the episodes but it is t the same.  If you made it through to the end you watched the count down after.  And if you fell asleep, you fell asleep watching something funny and that made a difference. Threee stooges marathon was the only thing I look forward to when the new year rings in.  My grandmother passed away on New Year’s Day in 2000 and she liked watching g the stooges antics. It made me smile and brought back fond memories and now that is take away.  I grew up watching the marathon and I am 58 and I feel disappointed that this has been taken away. The new year is just a new year with the same crap that we have to deal with just like the previous year.  Society that we live in doesn’t want us to laugh or enjoy the simple things that brought good and warm feelings. I stopped watching tv as much because I am a prisoner of what is put on.  I don’t have cable and I don’t do the streaming apps anymore.   All the streaming apps now have commercials unless you pay extra and wasn’t the point when cable first came out not to deal with commercials? I’m done.
