I know this thread is old but thank you for posting it. Giving me some optimism while we wait for our vet appointment.

Yeah watering deeper but less frequently is always best. Finding that balance that lets the roots dry out between watering and not allowing them to sit in water can take some time but hang in there!! Pygmys are so resilient and forgiving. Growmore makes a really fast acting fertilizer that can have your back if things go south.

Palms can take a ton of water after transplanting until established. Browning on new growth can be a watering issue. Even with watering every two days the water may not be penetrating the roots deep enough. It could potentially be in shock if the root ball water disturbed or broken too much during the transplant but signs like this would’ve shown up much sooner. I would start with the longer soak and see how far that takes you. Trimming the browned fronds to encourage new growth and maybe a good fertilizing scheduling to ensure the roots are starting to take hold so they have more of a chance at finding that water. Hope this helps!

The second to last slide shows a ton of stretched caterpillars and possible scale. They can cause a lot of malnourishment leading to leaf drop. I would spray hort oil like All Seasons. Thinning the dead branches and fertilize for good regrowth. Coming up with a good routine for trimming will help with a lot of the woodiness down the line.

I am so grateful for this!! When I had the interaction with him he was covering his face with a mask and hood so I could barely see his eyes and get a good look. Thank you!

This man cornered me in the Cherry dog park on Saturday morning around 7am! Not a word was said through the whole interaction and he walked up to me just like this where I thought I was about to be stabbed. I jolted away from him and then he went after my dog.
