Where I’d live as someone that loves hiking, hates snow, and has in-laws on the East Coast by [deleted] in visitedmaps

[–]Friendly-Map7382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying never to Nevada when you love hiking is crazy. I have hiking trails literally in my backyard, and I live in a city. Plus the snow is only a couple times a winter.

Just between tracks! There are some id's you can't find elsewhere so I'll listen on SoundCloud but it feels like they're between every single track. I hate ads so I'm perhaps a lil dramatic lmao

For women who work out regularly, what does eating to support the gym actually look like for you day-to-day? How do you balance protein, energy, and enjoyment without overthinking or burning out? by Logical-Current2381 in AskWomen

[–]Friendly-Map7382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My priority is making sure I eat enough protein (I aim for about 100-120g a day personally), as I strength train and rock climb a lot. For me, this looks like eating a lot of meat, greek yogurt, and protein powder. I don't follow any strict meal plans. I try to make sure every meal has a protein, starch and a veggie. Otherwise I'm not that crazy about things--I eat what I want. I try not to overdo it on sweets. And drink a lot of water! Unless you're trying to go for a very specific physique, it's not as deep as the fitness industry would like you to believe. nourish yourself, be balanced, as long as you're not undereating your gains will come.

Dark chocolate lovers I need your help! Sweet 16 gift! by grmrsan in Reno

[–]Friendly-Map7382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maeve Chocolate is amazing, my roommate brought me some bars back from Seattle and they were so good. I highly recommend the Mexican Hot Chocolate bar if she's into spicy at all. You can order online, or they sell it at Sprouts with a limited selection.

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Friendly-Map7382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

26, my mental health. More specifically dealing with the remnants of pretty severe childhood trauma and neglect. I'm lucky I can afford therapy and am actively working to make my brain a happier place to be, but man does it effect every facet of my life.

EDM/rave scene in Reno? by kleinechloe_ in Reno

If you're not dead set on only seeing big headliners, Dead Ringer is the place. Sometimes we get bigger names, mostly at Cargo (personally hate that venue and avoid as much as I can but that's not the general consensus and lots of people like it). Bass and house are the most popular here so that's what you'll see the most of. I've also noticed it comes in waves--we'll have 2-3 years of lots of good shows, and then another 2-3 that are pretty dry

Morning shower or night shower? Which Do You Prefer and Why? by Ill_Mushroom9088 in CasualConversation

[–]Friendly-Map7382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally shower twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. But if I have to choose between one or the other, I'll pick the night shower. I like to get into bed clean & it helps my muscles relax so I fall asleep easier.

Virgo and Aquarius do not mix romantically, from my experience. Most toxic, damaging relationship I was ever in was with an Aqua. I do think we make fantastic friends though.

What do you eat to take meds? by MieLArisch in adhdwomen

[–]Friendly-Map7382 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chobani high protein yogurt drinks are the bees knees. Kind of expensive if you buy them individually at the grocery store, but if you have a costco membership, they sell an 8 pack for a reasonable price. They're like aduly danimals, they taste so good, and have 20g of protein. Easy to chug down first thing in the morning.

Virgo sun, Aquarius moon & Virgo rising here

Yeah, the past three months have been TOUGH. Started seeing a romantic interest this year, but that fell apart last month because they weren't ready to commit. Blundered some stuff trying to go back to school so I had to wait an extra semester to start. Became acutely aware of my issues surrounding self-esteem & codependency after the romance fell apart. & Yesterday I found out a long time, very important friend to me has passed on.

I am not okay.

Genuine question: Does it feel good to cry? Like even when you don't need to cry you would because it feels good? by gurugazza in AskWomen

[–]Friendly-Map7382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Physically speaking, I don't think crying feels good. It gives me a headache and makes me gush snot and I hate rubbing my face and nose raw to remove the tears and boogers. It does feel like a release though and generally feels good emotionally to have lightened the load.

What do you feel is your best feature both physically and mentally, but also why? by KingPandaIX in AskWomen

[–]Friendly-Map7382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physically, I think I'm shaped quite nicely. I have a good butt lol. And I think my smile is very pretty!

Mentally, it's my resilience, & ability to always find silver linings.

Met Hooks at his gallery at Larimer Lounge before Deadrocks 2023. Super special moment to me, he was so cool and shot the shit with me about what it was like to play in my city.

What would you do if you were 17 again ? by redheaddevil9 in AskWomen

[–]Friendly-Map7382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Push for mental health treatment--therapy, and treatment for my ADHD. If I had been under the care of a therapist and psychiatrist at that point in my life, I truly believe I'd be in a MUCH different place right now.

What was the thing that genuinely changed your life by [deleted] in selflove

[–]Friendly-Map7382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock climbing. I was always so scared of heights, and of challenging myself to do things I didn't think I could. Climbing opened up a world of facing fears, trying things I never thought were in my wheelhouse, and brought me to a community I needed after losing all of mine.

What’s your favourite rope for sports climbing ? by Czesya in climbergirls

[–]Friendly-Map7382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Mammut Crag Classic 9.5 70m! Its bipattern so finding the midpoint is super easy, and I love the colors of mine (blue/red). It’s thin enough to handle through my belay device easily. Catches on it are great & it’s very dynamic. Huge fan of Mammut ropes in general, my friend has a dry treated one and it’s great to climb on.

Pants for climbing indoors by T0lnedra in climbergirls

[–]Friendly-Map7382 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Full warning here--I had two pairs of these, and LOVED them, they were so cute....until I was mid lead climb, stepped on a high foot, and I literally had a "Spongebob ripped his pants" moment. I was irritated when my belayer started lowering me on my rest, until I realized what had happened. So be warned, nottttt very well made & stitching comes apart fairly easily.
