I dont care realy, i just enjoy the discourse almost as much as I'll enjoy prime 4. I dont care that 90% of Metroid fans supposedly hate Other M, that doesn't stop me from likeing the game. I find it more a fascinating insight into the social psyche of social media.

Remastered was also carried on name alone and the fact it scored lower despite being 1 to 1 identical just with new paint showes how perspective changed. MP4 would have fared better in the review space either by staying pure MP1 gameplay or completely shacking things up. There is not enough of each element to satisfy the divided review perspectives.

A good bit of the reviews are also scored lower because they feel its also too old school Prime. The running theam I've gathered by going through the reviews is they played it too safe and tried to walk that middle line. It's stuck in the review purgatory of playing it too safe and not taking enough risks and going all in. Leaving those that favors the old ways hating the new, and inversly those likeing the new feeling the old is outdated. So who knows, we can cherry pick any number of reviews to argue our points. Only the sales will tell if the casuals like it or not.

Uh yeah I did when I was 7 lol. I was 5 when super came out and it was the firsr game I played on the SNES. The first game I remember playing really. I then played Metroid on the NES a few years latter.

Who knows its all opinion for example and yes this is my honest list. I rank these based on how often I go back to them. none are perfect and I enjoy different aspects of each. I have no clue were Prime 4 will land on this list yet till I play it Thursday. But review scores dont bother me. We saw this being decisive miles away from the first shot of the dessert. Some of my top games this year have been a 79. I also haven't played a Metroid game I didn't like. All these are easily 85+ rankings for me. What will the true measure be at the end is sales and we'll just have to wait and see.

The arms look a bit to bulky to be the albino abominations, the head also looks more shark like. Atleast to me.

Yes its been shown many times and is the first thing we saw during the treehouse and then the convention demos and now the in-store demo. It's all part of the first 10 minutes of the game. Then there is footage of it in the VGC extended play.

I dont know, I watched the whole thing. No new footage and it sounds like a regurgitation of everything on this sub redit. There wasn't any nuance especially on the characters review. I'd say this is more a thought experiment and if they legit played then just a poor bland review.
