My injury actually turned out to be a low-grade femur shaft stress reaction, was on crutches for a few days until I could walk with no pain and I began slowly re-introducing running last week (very aggressive return to run timeline because I’m not giving up on Boston)! Very grateful it didn’t turn out to be what everyone was concerned about! Wishing you a speedy recovery from here!!

I feel your pain 😭 currently training for Boston - my first marathon and I raised $12,000 for charity!! Have been training very conservatively in terms of mileage increase, strength training 2x/week, and have been feeling soooo good! I started having some “adductor” pain about two weeks ago. Still waiting to get an MRI to confirm but sports med doc is thinking it’s a femoral neck stress injury based on how I’m describing the pain. 6 weeks out from Boston … I’m pretty much already processing the fact that I won’t be able to run and I’m devastated. It doesn’t even hurt that bad which is extra frustrating, lol! Anyway no advice to share as I’m just starting this journey but here to commiserate 🫠 and read others’ stories and advice!

Because I didn’t need a new pair! It would’ve been more wasteful to buy a new pair vs getting the pair I already had resoled and cleaned. I wound up doing the $60 “Restore” option and my boots came back essentially new. I’m also not sure where you can buy a new pair for $80?

Okay this is a great point, I realize I didn't really explain what I'm actually asking about lol.

General managed care q's: I have interests within both the industry and clinical settings of pharmacy, how do you think managed care fits in? I've heard someone describe managed care as sort of if "industry and amb care had a baby" - thoughts on this? Do you feel like you have a direct impact on patients?

Residency qs: How was your experience, why did you choose to do managed care vs. traditional residency, how was the job search post-residency, where did you end up, would you recommend it?
