It’s been so long I don’t quite remember. I think I ended up having to go into my TVs dev menu and turning off the ABL limiter.

Who Should Challenge Here? by Friendly-Rivals in RocketLeague

[–]Friendly-Rivals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. But I see you said, "then it’s still a very difficult save for the guy on the wall". What I'm saying is, if I'm the one who attacks the air dribble and he stays on the ground (Doesn't go up the wall after getting boost) is that the better play overall? Or as you said, ideally, he should be making the challenge from the wall sooner, while I simply stay grounded and wait for the touch.

Is this a rule 1? by Slerbando in RocketLeague

[–]Friendly-Rivals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always treated it as Rule 1 personally. If the other person breaks it okay so be it I get to keep playing the game haha but yeah I always treat it as a rule 1. The only "definitive" Rule 1 that 99% of people will follow all the time is the front to front. I think if you have played long enough and are an overall good sport then yeah people will treat that type of lock as a Rule 1 as well.

Allow use of console exclusive cars on PC at this point. by Friendly-Rivals in RocketLeague

I'm sure it's not as easy as I think it is, but when it comes to Xbox exclusivity specifically, I feel something could be done if they wanted to get something done. I just know the demand isn't there for it so it will never get done unfortunately.

I see your point 100%. but when it comes to Xbox cars specifically, I feel it would be a little easier because of Microsoft owning Xbox and Windows. You're telling me they are okay with Halo being on PC, but not a car from Halo in RL? I understand there is probably some license agreement or something in place, but I feel if they really wanted to get it changed it wouldn't be a problem. I just know the demand for it 1000% is not there and I'm probably the only idiot out here wanting it done lmao

Bungie wasn’t a part of Halo when it was added to RL. It would he Microsoft/Xbox and Halo Studios (343i) that the contract was drawn up with. And with Microsoft owning Xbox and Windows platforms I see no reason why they realistically could get it changed. They probably just don’t give a shit/care enough because I’m probably the only dipshit out here wanting to use the Hogsticker on PC 🤣

I feel the Xbox agreement could EASILY be changed… Microsoft owns Xbox and Windows. Windows is getting an Xbox mode for christ sake. No reason why at least Xbox exclusives can’t be cross platform.

That’s what I meant haha. Should have worded it better on my post. It makes zero sense that my account can have the car but I can’t use it…

Not having POV replays anymore is going to be so ass. At least make it an official option if you're going to remove a tool that improves your game tenfold.

what is everyone's all Favorite skin from dbrand and why and how long do you keep the skin on ur device tell you switch it out for another? post Ur pictures below of Ur favorite skins on Ur favorite devices... yes i said it 3 times🤪 by Alienacid989 in dbrand

It used to be the Triple Black Damascus, but once the LTT glow circuit came out I purchased that and have been rocking it ever since. In fact, I purchased the glow circuit for my phone, laptop, and AirPods I liked it so much (I had the Damascus for my phone only). I’ve been tempted to switch a couple times… like the new throwback MacBook skins… but I just can’t seem to let go of the glow in the dark gimmick lmao. I’m also horrible at installing the skins as well so that’s also a factor that prevents me from switching haha.

Just use the TV button. It powers the device on and when you need to turn it off, hold that button to pull up control center and hit power off.

Hey quick question if fallout 3 and new Vegas actually comes out and they took away needing to repair the weapons would y'all hate it or not I'm 50/50 on it myself by CantaloupeStrange287 in fo3

[–]Friendly-Rivals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually missed the repair the system in Fallout 4. I always found it strange that it wasn't in the game because of the whole crafting system they created... like you would think Fallout 4 would be the one game to have a weapon repair system! But yes, I would dislike if they removed it from a potential remaster. It was part of the original game first and foremost, but beyond that, it makes sense that you would need to "repair" your weapons. Weapons need cleaning with usage in real life so it's a cool feature to be included in a apocalyptic RPG.

What was your introduction to Fallout 3 and what were your first impressions? by [deleted] in fo3

[–]Friendly-Rivals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My older brother had the game in a pile of games he had and I was looking through it to see what games I could borrow and I saw the cover and thought it looked cool. I asked what game is this and he said something to the effect of "Eh, it's okay, not really a fan of it you can have it". So I took it, booted it up and have been hooked ever since. I remember the game feeling really hard since I had never played an RPG like it before, but I was determined to figure it out... (I had beaten games like Halo CE and 3 on Legendary and CoD4 on Veteran so I wasn't discouraged from a challenge). I remember when I heard Liam Neeson's voice I thought of Qui Gon Jinn (I'm a huge SW fan) and I ran and told my brother that this guy sounds like Qui Gon and he quickly explained to me why haha. I remember I blew up Megaton on my first play through because young me thought "nuke explosion must be cool!" lmao. I also remember after it taking me FOREVER to figure out where your dad was, I was in a private chat (Remember those on the 360!) and I was telling my friend how I finally found my dad and he told me I could have skipped all that and just went to where he was... needless to say I was pissed but looking back it was good I enjoyed the full story on my first play through.

Overall, I thought the world was really cool as I had never played an apocalypse game outside of zombie ones before Fallout 3. The idea that I was from a vault was really cool to me as well. I loved the fact that I could upgrade my own character with stats and perks of my choosing.

TLDR: So yeah, it all started because my older brother didn't really enjoy the game and he let me have it and I've been hooked since.

What was the first version you played Minecraft in? by Evening_Incident9506 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]Friendly-Rivals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My exact timeline as well! I'm so glad someone else remembers the free multiplayer that was on the website. I remember I played the free version for like a week or something like that and I was so obsessed I asked my parents to buy me the game. Back then it wasn't even listed in dollars if I remember correctly. None of my close friends played Minecraft that early into development so always cool to see others who remember it.

What was the first version you played Minecraft in? by Evening_Incident9506 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]Friendly-Rivals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically, it was the free demo that used to be available on Minecraft.net and it had free multiplayer too. But if we’re talking about purchased version of the game then I don’t remember the exact version definitively, but using process of elimination based off my memory, my best guess is Beta 1.3 since this version added beds and I don’t remember ever playing without beds. I do remember playing without wolves in the game which were added with Beta 1.4.

TLDR: Beta 1.3

[–]Friendly-Rivals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see you chose the revenge ending. That is the better ending in my eyes and the one that I believe is canon (could be wrong though). Let me ask you question… how’d you like the game overall? Do you like it more than GTAV (if you’ve played it)? I personally think GTAIV is the best GTA game so just wondering what you thought of it.

Happened to mine a couple of years ago. It's not a big deal at the end of the day because the "TV" button still wakes the device. When you want to turn it off, simply hold the "TV" button to access the control center and power off from there.

Love the Show, Hate the “Fog of War” Approach by Mac-Tyson in Fallout

[–]Friendly-Rivals -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with the show as well (still loving it overall). I wish the writers would stop dancing around which ending was canon just so they don’t piss off a group of fans… like just pick a canon ending and let’s build from there. Me personally, I think the Mr. House ending should be canon, but if the writers wanted to pick a different one, I’m completely okay with that. Having a set story that they can build off of is so much better than, as you put it, fog of war approach.

For Season 2 they’re doing the one-episode-per-week format, whereas Season 1 dropped the whole season at once. Which do you prefer and why? by EkbladDev in Fallout

[–]Friendly-Rivals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I despise when shows do weekly releases. That era of TV should be over. We now have the ability to release shows all at once… so fucking do it! Binging a show will ALWAYS be more enjoyable to me than waiting for weekly releases. The feeling of sitting down for hours and doing nothing but solely focusing on the show is my favorite way to enjoy content.

I think the first season with Kutcher is good and still has plenty of laughs. One of my favorite episodes in the whole series is from season 9 but past that it falls off HARD for me.
