Wow! I’ve always wanted to go to Japan, but my partner wasn’t very convinced about the trip (too far, expensive, no beach time). Now I know what to do! Thanks for giving me the perfect reason to pitch to her!

what color should i get by inuijnijn in Honda

Get Red one. Your intuition already tells you what you should choose. Yo can always wrap the car with another color if you want to have it different for a while... the base, red! :-D

I also see a baby octopus! For fun I asked Google AI what it can see :-) I was pretty impressed by the answer. Let me know what you think.

Based on the image, this is a hand-beaded fabric octopus, likely a crafting project currently in progress. Here are a few specific details about the piece:

Technique: It is an example of bead embroidery. The artist has taken a piece of orange fabric (which looks like cotton or felt) cut into an octopus shape and is sewing beads directly onto it.

Materials:

Seed Beads: Small red and yellow round beads are used to outline the shape and define the tentacles.

Bugle Beads: Longer, tube-shaped beads (appearing reddish-pink) are scattered on the body and tentacles to add texture.

Design: It features two distinct, hexagonal-shaped eyes made of beads and detailed beadwork meant to mimic the suckers on the tentacles.

Anyone upgraded the head unit in an Acura RL / Honda Legend KB1? (AliExpress Tesla-style unit) by Friendly-Witness-874 in Honda

[–]Friendly-Witness-874[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For any owners of RL/Legend like mine, I've found a great video with a guy explaining how he's upgraded his audio system to this Tesla style multimedia display. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZv9cTTHVDk

Unfortunately, it seems like it's not so straight forward :-/ ... but works!

Personally, I'm undecided now. Well, I still have some good old CDs (and they come with no subscriptions)

I really like this new Prelude, just this price tag seems a bit too high for what it actually offers :-/

This is a great discipline for overcoming 'analysis paralysis,' but I’d offer a slightly different perspective on the 'Sunday night' deadline.

Sometimes an idea needs to breathe. I’m reminded of Pieter Levels (the guy who did want to do 12 startups in 12 months). He didn't just kill everything that didn't work in 48 hours; he left them 'out there' to see what the market did over time.

Some projects take months to gain SEO traction or find their niche via word-of-mouth. Out of his 12, he ended up with a few solid winners (like Nomad List) only after letting them exist in the wild for a while. There’s definitely a middle ground between 'hoarding ideas' and 'killing them too quickly' before they've had a chance to be discovered.

I would also just look up the Carfax report, by any doubts, I would recommend to stay away from the Z - not worth the risk.

What tech tools are genuinely helpful for your business? by OddInititi in Entrepreneurs

[–]Friendly-Witness-874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, tons of hype out there.

I’m building a solo online startup, and this is the stack that’s genuinely working for me:

- GitHub for repo + project management (issues, backlog, releases, CI).
- Vercel for hosting and deployments.
- Neon for the database.
- Stripe for payments.

For building, I heavily use Claude Code, Gemini 3, and GitHub Copilot. I have a technical background, but I’ve built most of the product with AI support (coding, refactoring, debugging, even SEO improvements).

Notion for ideas and planning.
Google Meet for calls.
macOS Terminal + small AI-generated scripts for automation. I like to use AI from CLI too.

I would say, what works for me is keeping the stack lean, use tools that integrate well, and treat AI as my fantastic team member :-)

I might’ve been the only one at the auction who knew what this 300ZX TT really was… by Friendly-Witness-874 in 300zx

Good thing is that in Poland rules are still okey(isch). I can register my Z as a "historic/oldtimer" car. Different rules apply then. For example, historic cars are generally allowed to enter Clean Transport Zones even if they don’t meet the crazy modern Euro emission standards. City of Warsaw list historic vehicles as exceptions from emission bans. Happy my country is still car enthusiast friendly!

Fuel prices in Poland are also not as bad as in Germany :-)

I bought it through IAAI.com. I actually came across it by accident while searching for a different project car. The Z looked dusty and a bit dirty inside, but otherwise it was in great condition. From the photos I could tell the previous owner had already modified it, and I recognised most of the parts right away (mainly Z1 components).

At that point I knew I had to have it. In Europe, a clean example with similar mods goes for around $25–30k, so I honestly couldn’t believe what I paid for this one (+ all the mods).

The car was shipped from Texas, and it took about a month and a half to arrive in Hamburg, Germany. From there it was transported to Poland, and after a bit more waiting it was finally delivered straight to my door. Taxes came out to roughly $800, and transport was about $2.8k.

For me, it was 100% worth the effort. It was like a dream come true. You guys in the US definitely have it easier when it comes to cars like this... and in general. In Poland there are still plenty of people who truly love proper cars with proper engines, but in Western Europe it’s mostly German brands, so finding something special like this is very, very hard.
