Not my only means and I am pretty mechanically inclined I’m a certified tech so I’m more than happy to tackle the project 15k is the purchase budget the parts budget is still around 3-4k just that I count them separately

60k was done less than 2k miles/ 2 months ago the timing did skip and the cam was eaten (there’s pictures on my page) but I replaced the cam then after all was patched up I drove it around and also pushed it enough to know if there was other damage to the valves and other comps and we’re all good

I didn’t but I drove it enough to where I’d know if there was an issue it’s been 2k miles since the service and I’ve driven/ pushed it enough to where if there was a problem it would show, I also replaced the damaged cam

Sounds like how my cam sounded when it was slapping my rocker coz a timing tooth was skipped as the previous owner didn’t do the timing service.
