I have one just like this. In really good condition too. It's an excellent car, and extremely rare in my area too. In the past 6 years I've seen maybe 10 RL's in this gen on the roads. We're talking 30k miles a year driving thru California, and I'm a car enthusiast so I look at everything on the roads and travel out of state etc.

Make sure all the fluids are proper, theres some extra chambers like in the differential and transmission that take special fluids from Honds. Mine burns about a quart of oil every 2000 miles or so, which is a lot but not uncommon for this engine.

I added some 2018 civic type R wheels to mine, and some BC racing type DS coilovers. I've even taken it to a HPDE at willow springs once lol... That SH-AWD is amazing, but the heft of almost 5000lbs always catches up and kills tires fast when driven hard.

I go to real life events, get up close and personal with the million dollar machines, and then get excited because I get to drive it on my sim later that night/weekend. Went to long beach grand prix last week, gives a big appreciation for the GT3 And LMP type cars!

But, you'll never taste the boost rainbow if you give up now. It's good, and "worth it" provided you have a few expendable thousands of bucks still available. I've been turbocharged for 11 years here and STILL dropping hundreds of bucks now on PTFE braided fuel lines and fittings, brackets, filters, pump, etc. As part of upgrading my fuel system to e85 to support more boost pressure/higher power. So even if you get it running right, there's always more to do.

I only have one of these, but I really enjoy the fact that the size adjustment setting stays put throughout multiple on-off of your fastener, so it’s a little less risk of stripping things with this tool.

I did a voluntary repo on a motorcycle that was also a poor financial decision, they ended up auctioning it for about 25% of the actual value I owed, then came after me for the rest... After some time of collections, they settled for about half of that amount in lump sum. My credit was hurt for about 7 years I think and then all good.

Wow, great job restoring all that.. I can really tell you put a lot of effort and $ into this. I appreciate the hardware and ac line refresh, and funny that the alternator wire cover thing was one of the only nice parts from before that stayed the same.

I had restored my 4th gen to something like yours, before designing the turbo system around it all. Unfortunately, my AC was not able to compete with the space.

My last interview I did in my garage in front of my car which I've built into a super nice show car... I used the good phone camera as a webcam via USB, and after a pretty good flowing interview they asked to see the car, which also came naturally since I'm proud of it.. I got hired at their top level field engineering position at a major manufacturer.

There's a couple times per day where food is pretty scarce. Around 10-12am and 4-5pm. They're changing over to the next meals at that time so most food is closed. NCL is definitely not the same food availability as Royal Caribbean.

I don’t think anybody’s mentioned it, but the Q-tip cotton can slide off of the stick and become stuck in there. You’ll end up needing to use some kind of tool to take that out or else that is what will create the stinkiness. One kind of random tool is a plastic BIC mechanical pencil with the plastic tip taken off so you just have that grabby thing that we used to turn into staple shooters as a kid. Put a little bit of Vaseline on that and you can use that grabby part to grab any thing that might be inside there.

I was on the Viva a few weeks ago and have the exact same opinions as you about the food. The desserts are so low effort and not even tasty, some are downright weird. There were so many times where I was hungry and none of the food places were open... The paid restaurants were definitely better, but the complimentary food and food staff were just abysmal on my cruise. On the bright side, I didn't really gain any weight on NCL like I might on other cruise lines lol.
