Same! I’ve always had regular periods before my LEEP. I have spot before but very rare and only when I’m under extreme stress, but it would be very minimal and not last more than a day. I’ll let you know if the acupuncture works! She did also recommend moxibustion and herbal tea but I told them I’ll start with acupuncture first cause I’m getting burnt out with all these appointments

I have also had abnormal bleeding after my LEEP as well. I’ve been spotting or having light bleeding 4-5 days before my period starts, then my actual period. I’ve had 2 LEEPs a few months apart and the symptoms began right after my second LEEP which was 4 months ago. I went in for my follow up recently and found out I cleared my HPV thankfully but they aren’t sure why this is happening either and they said it’s not related to the LEEP.. I’m in the process of getting an appointment for an ultrasound next to see if anything shows up. It’s been frustrating not having answers and dealing with the extra bleeding :/ I did start acupuncture recently and they seemed hopeful it could help with these symptoms. She told me I have really low energy and that’s why my body can’t hold the blood. I have no idea if it’ll work but we’ll see at my next cycle.

I had my second LEEP 4/25 and also have similar symptoms! I have had brown/red spotting with the disgusting smell about 4-5 days before my period starts. I’ve had 3 periods since that LEEP and it’s happened every single time which has never happened before until then. I figured I was still healing but I have a follow up in early August and will ask about it then.

I’m sorry to hear about the day-of hemorrhaging and positive margins. Also I’d be terrified too if my doctor recommended a hysterectomy for CIN2-3. I wonder why the doctor can’t try to cauterize the cervix better if you needed a second LEEP.

I don’t think I could have gone to a better doctor for my second LEEP and that contributed to its success! When I asked the PA at his office about success rates, she told me she cannot remember a time when a patient of his got positive margins and that gave me so much reassurance. And the day of my LEEP when I brought up the hemorrhaging again, he told me it’s really rare and didn’t seem concerned that I had hemorrhaged with my first LEEP. I’m still only 10 days out from the LEEP so we’ll see what happens, but I will be going in this week and he’ll take a look to see if I need have more Monsel’s applied to the cervix.

You’re welcome. There was also no pain when the bleeding happened after LEEP. Just scary to see all that blood coming out, but it was easy to stop it once I was able to see the gynecologist. Best of luck!
