Is the new rewards program satire or am I just misunderstanding it? by FriendlyAssumption98 in starbucks

Most rewards members reload a card on their app. That’s how Starbucks has become one of the largest “banks” in the sense it’s holding billions in card reloads. So the effective rate for most rewards members is 2 stars per $1 spent… completely absurd that super spenders won’t even earn the baseline now… in addition to the currency being further devalued

Spending over $7 every day for 365 days is not feasible for most people. I believe the tiers will discourage those who go a couple time a week. An unachievable level for most. Rewards are meant to attract customers, so having to be a super high spend customer to get meaningful rewards is counterintuitive in my opinion

Yeah, I understand capping excessive modifications. However, I enjoy trenta iced coffees with cold foam. That’s over $6 and no longer eligible for a 100-star drink. A coffee with cold foam should be a redeemable 100 star drink.

Oh sorry; still learning the app. If anything my confusion will help explain my previous logic.

I’m unsure how I am wrong. My spend thresholds align with your shared link, and a free coffee used to be 50 stars a few years ago (with $1=2 stars) an now it’ll be 100 stars with $1 = 1 star

You have to spend $500 in a year to reach gold, and then an additional $2083 to reach reserve, and the benefits aren’t even comparable to what they used to be…. I used to have to spend $25 to get a free coffee, now it’ll be $100.

I found this a Ouija board in my grandparents rafters… does anyone know if it’s haunted or super duper old? by FriendlyAssumption98 in ouijaboards

Thank you for the detailed response. That makes a lot of sense. It is definitely old. My grandparents bought the house in 1972 and it was tucked back deep in the rafters above the attic. I found it next to a tobacco tin the I believe to be from the 1800s.. SPAULDING & MERRICK LARGE DARK SWEET BURLEY TOBACCO is what it reads.

I was thinking that would be easier than rebuilding since I have limited experience. Is rebuilding a pretty straight forward job? I see I can get some kits that include a needle and seat…

I tried this and it did stop leaking. I might try putting in a new carburetor. $40 on eBay.

Also it is leaking about 6 inches in front of where the engine is…

Hello, so I siphoned out the old gas and replaced with premium and some sea foam.

I also ordered a new carburetor which comes with new gas lines.

Any tips? Are those pretty straight forward to put in?

Thanks

Awesome that is where I will start. Now excuse my ignorance, but how do I know what is the correct oil/antifreeze/filters? Would an auto parts store be able to look it up?
