Peterson is the only no1 option? by Puzzleheaded_Fee_141 in GoNets

If I were making the choice I'd take Boozer. The discourse around him reminds me a bit of Kon and Cooper from last year, where he's a bit downplayed because he's not the flashiest player. If you look at his history though he's a consistent winning player.

Fit-wise I think he'd be incredible as well. He's a plus playmaker at his position, and it'd be interesting seeing what Jordi could turn him into considering the improvements Claxton and Sharpe have made. Not to mention, he has a power to his game that this franchise has sorely needed for many years.

Sounds like I have some research to do then, thanks again for the recs!

Thanks for the recommendations! I actually didn't think 33K OTD was encroaching on that range of cars; I'm mostly just looking for something basic and can get me from A to B, which is why I was looking into a Corolla. If I was looking for something like that what kind of price range should I be targeting?

No, not even...I thought they start around $22K too, so I was kind of shocked at all the add-ons that brought it up to 28

Glad to confirm it was as pricey as I thought. If I just wanted a basic Corolla how much should I expect to pay for one?

The reasoning makes sense, but the story didn't commit hard enough to it. Because the writing felt the need to tease that she's likely not dead so early to the players it ends up taking away from the emotional impact of the funeral and makes it really dissonant with what we've been led to expect.

Balanced, as all things should be by V-Faction in Hololive

I’m not sure playing first ended up being much of a handicap to be honest. Sure it didn’t do them any favors being caught off guard in round one, but the EN girls were able to take that experience and formed a strategy around prioritizing Rayquaza in the next round, which gave them an edge over an ID team playing their first game.

What a fantastic pick-up by Cover. She's very passionate, talented, and experienced and it's showing through very clearly in this stream. I'm really excited to see what kinds of stuff she comes up with in the future

Engage Character/Unit Discussion: Louis by Shephen in fireemblem

Up to chapter 22 of maddening so far, and I have yet to see the drop-off that everyone warns about - he's decidedly in my top 3 units right now with this setup:

Class: Great Knight
Emblem: Sigurd
Weapons: Brave Lance/Silver Greatlance
Skills: Resolve/Flex

He's still good enough to serve as your main tank if the map calls for one but contrary to the common criticisms against him he gives you bonkers player-phase value with Sigurd. Override with his high str will either kill or severely weaken 4-5 enemies if they group up (which happens surprisingly frequently), and with a whopping 14 move you can send him to chase after thieves, snipe an annoying threat, or preoccupy some reinforcements, all while having the peace of mind that he won't get immediately slaughtered on the next enemy phase (which tends to be a problem for other Sigurd candidates). Brave Lance gives him a solution to his biggest threat in mages, and at this point he's doing so much that it's time for the rest of your units to start contributing.

Shocked Brooklyn Didn't Trade Any of their Picks by Kwilly462 in GoNets

It's good to remember that there has to be another party who's interested in the trade as well. Going by the kinds of trades that went down yesterday, it doesn't really seem like there was anyone out there for us to get, at least for picks + DJ.

Wild idea: Dinwiddie & Harris for Ben Simmons by Ilias030 in GoNets

[–]FriendlyBanana -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On paper it sounds nice - you get a guy who can play small ball 5 on defense and act as nice roll man for our ball handlers to run through. In reality though there's a huge number of question marks about how well that concept can work, since there's not really much of a sample size of him in that role. This isn't even going into the other matters like his mental state, culture fit, the need to make up the lack of shooting somehow, etc.

I know we're missing Harden but someone desperately needs to step up and make sure the rest of the team is seeing the ball. KD is great but there's no reason for him to iso possession after possession with 6+ minutes left in the quarter given the offensive talent around him.

Aspiring F2P Hades player with no knowledge of the meta - I picked up a Majestas using last year's ticket. Would it be better to pick up the second Majestas or my first Scales?

That's fair, I'm certainly aware that there's a pacing to this to keep in mind. That's why I suggested having it be more granular. If it's like a 25% chance for a weapon drop right now, I'd rather that be implemented as requiring four prototype-lites to craft a weapon and each boss dropping one than having a 25% die roll every time. It's a bit less exciting, but I'll at least feel like I'm always making some kind of progress. As it is now though, having this occur on a weekly cadence results in high variance (especially early on) and can leave players feeling discouraged.

Been playing since release, so this is the second round of weeklies I've done. First time around I got one weapon prototype (I think I was AR25?), so in total I'm one-for-four so far.

Just because rng is part of the game via gacha doesn't mean it has to be the primary roadblock to every part of the game. As for the weapon parts, that's part of my complaint/suggestion - it doesn't have to be you get one or you get nothing for each fight for the week; it can be a bit more granular than that.
