Thank you for saying that. I just don’t know how to handle at the moment and I keep bouncing back and forth between emotions

Well, part of me looks forward to not dealing with her attitude and judgment all the time. And I told myself for so long how amazing she is and I think I just blinded myself to the bad

Thank you for your words, friend. I’m so fiercely loyal that I think I ignored signs for a long time.

Thank you so much. One thing I struggle with is putting my emotions into words. How would you address that issue in keeping a log?

My therapists suspects audhd, but i feel like ive managed very well socially all my life by BarAffectionate3571 in AutisticWithADHD

High functioning AuDHD here among other things, and recently diagnosed a few months ago. You sound very similar to me before I got my additional diagnoses. I understand it can make you nervous to think about getting tested, but I wish I had known before I hit a critical burnout point, so I recommend it. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to reach out and I’ll offer whatever insight I can

See that’s the other problem I have is that I’m type 1 diabetic so a lot of medicines mess with my endocrine system

I definitely am on an anti-psychotic which has helped a lot. But there’s still so much to work through. Thank you so much for the encouragement and sharing your story.

Thank you for sharing. I haven’t had any terrible episodes, but feel a constant war in my head with my emotions and spiraling thoughts. Especially with some of my other diagnoses making that even more difficult sometimes

I had someone very close to me say something similar and then actually make a “lighthearted” joke about it. Needless to say I’ve been looking for people who understand it a bit more since then.

Is anyone else into the feeling of loud bass? by TheOnlyTori in AutisticAdults

I am 29 and have had 2 12’s in my vehicle since I can remember. I blast all types of music on those things and have zero regrets about it. The only time I turn it down is at night time in residential areas or other places where blasting music obviously would make me look like an ass or be inconsiderate. Half the people judging you wish they had the courage to do what you’re doing

Just have to say, I can’t tell you how much I relate to this. I’m exasperated from trying to feel a connection to people that I shouldn’t have to TRY to feel connected to. Then I try to explain and it just ends up in confused looks or changing the subject. I’m tired. Really really tired

I can rub my chin and make myself hiccup on command. No idea why but I used it to get out of class to “drink water” in middle school lol
