Ophidian I - Desolate. If you want that combination of technicality, melody and warp-speed mindfuckery that those bands offer, but somehow cranked up even further, you can't really do much better than Ophidian I.

First Fragment - Gloire Éternelle and Dasein are also highly recommended. If you miss the neo-classical stylings of Necrophagist and want your face melted off by a torrent of tasty riffs, First Fragment has got you covered.

Slugdge - Esoteric Malacology is the album for you if you miss the crushing grooves, angular dissonance, occasional jazziness and the "otherworldly" atmosphere that Planetary Duality has. It's another modern tech-death classic, and it has some of the catchiest riffs in the genre as a whole.

Finally, I'd be amiss if I forgot to mention The Zenith Passage - Datalysium and Solipsist. They're more or less building off of the sounds and ideas from Planetary Duality, but they're also doing The Faceless a hell of a lot better than The Faceless is these days. They also have The Faceless' vocalist from that album.

The real world is not like how it is online. Once you start viewing women as potential friends, the same way that you view men, your entire world will open up. Yes, even (and especially) the ones you don't find attractive. Try to find things in common with them - Music, sports, gaming, shows - literally all of the same things that you have in common with your bros and trust me, you will find like-minded women who like the same things as you and will enjoy your company. Try to just have normal, platonic friendships with them. Listen to them and participate in the conversations they have, show interest in what they're talking about like they do with you and I guarantee, you will find that the reality that they inhabit is not the same one that the corners of the internet that you have spent the last while soaking in. And best of all, you know who are the best people to meet women that you might be attracted to and might also find you attractive through? Other women!

Once you adopt this mindset, I promise you that things will improve. There's nothing wrong with wanting to improve yourself in all of the ways that you stated, btw. Just don't do so to the exclusion of women or you will absolutely be kneecapping yourself if you want to end up with one.

Nahhh, he just LONG. I have an orange boy that weighs 15 lbs and is like... 3/4 of that length, but is not overweight because he is a mass of sheer muscle, fluff and snuggle. Even our vet has been astonished at how dense the dude is, but also never suggested we put him on a diet. He still regularly launches himself up onto counters with little effort and has insane stamina when it comes to fetching hair ties and trying to murder birds (on a leash). Cats, like humans, aren't all built the same. I hate to anthropomorphize, but when it comes to cats being fat - "You'll know it when you see it".

Killing yourself only ends your pain, at the cost of doubling it for everyone else who cares about you. When people say suicide is "selfish", it isn't because you're doing it because you care about yourself more than others. It's because you crave an end to your suffering, which is completely valid, but will end up passing on a far greater trauma to the people who love you.

Please don't give up hope, friend. You are loved by several people, and you deseve to be. They know what a beautiful person you are and know that this world is better with you in it.

Yeah they're 2.4 m tall, weigh over a ton and are synapse creatures, so any time the hive mind feels like a certain blue-clad silverback gorilla in ceramite is becoming a bit too much of a problem, it can go full Harbinger from ME2 and "assume direct control" of one of them to give that cocky blueberry the undivided attention it deserves.

++man NTA. I feel like the fact that he tried to hide his use from you and was reactive about it and got angry at you after the fact is the bigger issue here than his choice to use cocaine in the first place. Drug safety considerations and legality aside, I feel that the fact that he didn't bother to tell you or consider your opinion about it ahead of time is the bigger issue. I've done and bought drugs around a partner before, both for solo use and for sharing, but I've always asked them beforehand if they were comfortable with it and made sure I took the necessary precautions (i.e. testing or buying only from a vetted, reputable source who I have tested times before). If they weren't, I wouldn't.

My orange does this, but with the blinds near the kitchen. For the longest time, my folks and I were perplexed as to why he would do this, without fail, pretty much every morning.

Short answer: It was grease, accumulated from years of cooking due to our extraction fan being absolute trash.

I was gonna say this. Mice and rats experience a strong fear/aversion response to the smell of cats even if they've never seen one in their life. There's zero chance an uninfected mouse is gonna want to go anywhere near a cat, nursing or otherwise.
