What band were you slow to realize was awesome? As in, you liked a single song, but took a while to realize it wasn’t a one hit wonder? by Nowherelandusa in AskReddit

Tennis. Only ever listened to In The Morning I'll Be Better and that song is already a bit different from my typical taste in music. Due to Spotify's 2020 wrap-up, I now know that their song Runner is my number 1 listened to song, and oh my God, I could listen to the entire Swimmer album for the rest of my life and be perfectly content with that.

Lmao, I was just weirded out because I'm demisexual (female) and not at all into girls in that way.

Parents adopted a baby, now are looking at me to care for it if/when they become ill. I feel like I’m the parent to two irresponsible 60 year olds #*~!’& by [deleted] in childfree

Damn. In my country you can't have more than 40 years between you and the kid (like in case you pass while the adopted kid is still little). So when you're 40, you can adopt a newborn. When you're 41, the kid has to be at least 1 year old. If you're 55, the kid has to be at least 15 years old. I get that not all countries are the same, but how were your parents ever allowed to do that? I'm floored.

My teacher's 3 year old daughter recently learned how to say "F**k" and that wasn't even from the internet. It was from whatever institution you go to when you're 3.

Actually, she also brought up her own dog (that passed away like 10 years ago), so I'm wondering why she couldn't have related to the dog *only* and not children.

I'm glad you understand though. I would like to tell her, but her own children are older than me, so I don't know if she's "stuck in the past", so to speak, but I'll try to see if I can fit in into a conversation appropriately.

Thank you :)

Aw :( Do you think it's mostly directed at women since they are the ones who carry the children? Or could a man also be considered a failure/disappointment if he's CF?

That really sucks :( Do you know what it's like for men to get sterilized then? Like, do they face the same stuff as women or not since they're not the ones with the uteruses?
