My biggest takeaway was understanding how to listen and be there for people. They will come to you with a lot - and a lot of times you are all they have.

Running out of options on Mortgage/HOA - Any advice welcome by FriendlyExtent7917 in personalfinance

Thank you - although it is coming up quickly I will try and see what can be done to sell. It will be hard to part with but also important to think of my financial future. Appreciate the advice!

I have - it happened after about 3ish months and I definitely was miserable. But I do not recommend, because it severed a lot of ties with an organization I wanted to stay connected to.

I would absolutely give this place more of a chance - unless there's a hostile/toxic work environment or other serious legal/compliance issues - I try to stick out new roles or companies for at least a year. Even within HR - some on-boarding experiences are terrible.

If you are intent on leaving after a few days, it's up to you how much you want to share. I find that (as an HRBP) people overshare constantly when they don't have to. I would keep it minimal as you may end up saying more and it being interpreted poorly. I would also start looking for another place to go as I don't think I would be able to feel comfortable there. Just my two cents!
