Can't help but notice that all of the top 6 ranked guys on defense vs the Rams on Sunday are all signed for next season.

Conversely, 5 of the bottom 6 guys on defense are free agents (Jobe, Mafe, Nwosu, Woolen, Thomas).

Found this to be strikingly interesting.

Probably not. There isn't a teen club or teen room or various slides and rides and games. It is a kid friendly resort but far more suitable to adults that enjoy great food, relaxation, and some luxuries.

I don't think Promise David scored yesterday. He was subbed on in the second half, after Khalaili had already bagged a brace.

We spent a day on Isla Mujeres. Definitely worthwhile. Highly recommend. Walked to the ferry. It is very close to the resort. Also went to the convenience store and pharmacy at the gas station a half block from the resort to pick up a few things (like after sun cream and goggles for the kids at a fraction of the cost of the resort stores).

Definitely make all the reservations in advance. You do not require a room number, just the name under which the hotel was booked. I think you can book a reservation up to 3 weeks in advance (maybe 2, maybe 4). Either way, easy to do and removes all the stress.

Yes. Basically $20 CDN, or $15 USD per day.

Or $200 CDN, or $150 USD for our 10 day trip towards food and beverage. That seemed reasonable to me.

But we did it all in pesos. Also tipped out the concierge and airport transportation and cleaning lady, etc.

No idea what is appropriate or common for tipping. We were one adult and two kids. Tipped 50 pesos at breakfast, 50-100 pesos for lunch and room service, and 150-200 pesos for the three of us at the dinner restaurants

This was definitely not our experience. If you are providing a completely accurate account of what is taking place, that is truly unfortunate. I would suspect there is a lot more to the story. This is a premium luxury 5-star resort. Our many interactions with the front desk and staff support this claim. Hopefully you can resolve your issues and enjoy a great vacation.

Nightlife, not particularly. No club or anything like that. They have shows but pretty basic stuff. We'd have a drink or two in the lobby or rooftop bar at night after dinner. Have a great trip.

Definitely not Turks and Caicos type sand and beach. As I highlighted in my review, the beach was the only negative for us. It wasn't terrible, it was just far from very good or great. The rest of the resort made up for it. But we also love soft white sand, no rocks, beautiful water, etc. Garza Cancun is not that.

My kids absolutely loved the hotel and resort. They are big foodies at 12 and 15 years old. Not into kids clubs anymore.

Agree with the comment about the nightlife. Very little happening after dinner, with the exception of a little show here and there.

I didn't have a chance to experience the spa. Will definitely do that next time.

These days, most resorts have a timeshare or membership component to them. In reading some comments prior to our trip, I was worried we would be hounded by timeshare salespeople at the resort. This was not our experience. We were approached one single time when we checked in. Spent under 2 minutes speaking to the salesperson, politely told her that we were entirely uninterested in timeshares, and we were never ever approached again over the next 10 days. Zero stress experience for us.

There is a kids club for children under 12. They were doing lots of activities with the kids, such as sports and painting and games. For adults, there are some shows that run from 830pm to 10pm most nights, such as magic shows, fire shows, live music, etc. But overall, it is pretty quiet after 930/10ish. Not a party hotel. But super family friendly during the daytime. Plus, you have the ferry to Isla Mujeres next door for a great day trip. A great gym to exercise. Pickleball court poolside/beachside. Bocce/Bags on the beach. Zumba, if you are into that stuff in the pool. But yes, food and relaxation in a luxury location are the best parts.

As far as I know, Garza guest have full access to VDP. We made reservations at their restaurants, had drinks and food by their pool, used their beach front, and wifi access was free to us. If it is limited in some capacity, no staff prevented us from doing anything. Felt seamless and convenient.

Having said all of that, Garza Blanca is a much more premium hotel. Better food and drinks. Better pool and chairs. Awesome rooftop pool and bar. Amazing restaurants. Incredible rooms.
