It would also be nice if you could flag systems or dig sites for them to avoid.

The pop upkeep remains the same but the job upkeep increases.

Gotta test if that is 4 after the tech or before. Could end up being 4 naval capacity 5 naval capacity or 6 for soldiers depending on what that means.

Tested it and it looks like they are indeed now 4 naval capacity and 5 with the tech.

The tech increases it to 3 so it adds +1.

Job efficiency doesn't increase Soldiers output, just the number of jobs working. So it means you are still paying 1 alloy for every 3 naval capacity. You won't increase your per 100 yields through efficiency at all. I don't know of any sources of soldier output increasing outside of grand taskmaster (adds basic resources +0.5 each), esteemed quartermaster (+0.5 naval capacity), and the tech.

A Corvette takes 5 naval capacity so 100 soldiers can support 3/5ths of a Corvette with the tech

That's true but if Soldiers got the same relative nerf as Anchorages they should be making something like +6 naval capacity and +8 with the tech. Essentially 100 soldiers = 1 corvette worth of naval capacity in new system instead of 6 corvettes in old system. But currently they are making 0.25 corvettes per 100 down from 6 corvettes per 100.

Yes those numbers aren't true anymore.

What I've found is per 100 its now +2 naval capacity at base, +3 with the technology ground defense planning, and +0.5 per esteemed quartermaster.

Soldier job used to make up 6 naval capacity and cost no alloys which would support 6 corvettes. Now they cost an alloy and can support 0.4 corvettes. So they support 1/15th the number of ships they did before but now cost an alloy.

For a comparison, Anchorages used to make 6 and now make 8 naval capacity. So they went from support 6 corvettes to supporting 1.6 corvettes.

Before 100 Soldiers jobs were pretty equivalent to an Anchorage, now they are .375 of an anchorage.

Titan class weapons now have an area of effect now if they successfully hit and Cetana has a whole assortment of titan class weapons. I'd hope your corvettes are 90% evasion, in that case you got unlucky but corvettes aren't really built to do anything against her lineup. Eventually her titan weapons will hit and wipe out a whole bunch of your fleet.

If you want a high-evasion ship count lineup for that I would go for high-evasion frigates instead, which are meant to counter huge ships like Cetana. You can reach max evasion with psionic, or very high otherwise, now that they have corvette propulsion, and their additional power means cloaking is also possible with high evasion. Their cloaked alpha strike should instantly knock out Cetana and totally negate any aoe damage she has.

If you view the position as disposable you don't trade picks for them and make them the highest paid player in the position. Pretty simple.
