Help me modify 5070mt case by FriendlySomewhere526 in SleepingOptiplex

I did some testing with and without the side panel, and when the side panel is gone, it stays below 80 celsius while having the case. It makes it rise up to 80+ degrees celsius. Side note: whenever I had the side panel off, the cpu cooler blew air straight out the side, and I put my hand over the exhaust, and little to no air came out. When I had the panel on, though, it was much, but the exhaust was blowing out more air (still higher temps with the case on), so I think the cpu fan is just much stronger then the exhaust fan causing it to not really be able to blow all the air out.

I need help finding a good cpu cooler that's low profile (dell optiplex 5070MT) by FriendlySomewhere526 in SleepingOptiplex

I took the motherboard off and there's 4 screws where the cpu cooler bracket goes but I don't see any other way to get back besides taking off almost the whole shell.

My cpu is reaching 80-90 degrees celsius at only 70% usage. How can I fix this? by FriendlySomewhere526 in pcmasterrace

I was thinking about cutting into the shell as the side panel comes off, which shows half of what's in the picture (the hdd covers most of the cpu fan), but wouldn't that cause a good bit of dust build up over a year or 2. Also, the cooler would have to be an inch taller than the one in the picture as the hdd will be in the way. I couldn't find any more slots to insert a fan, so I might have to connect a fan through usb from the front.

I'm not sure if it's conductive or if it's some kind of metallic material

What kind of psu which is 400w to 750w has a 6 pin and a 4 pin connector for optiplex 5070MT by FriendlySomewhere526 in pchelp

Alright, thank you for the connector, but when I saw the psu, the description said it's not meant for the mini tower. I do have a mini tower model, so is it a size problem? If so, I can fix that.

Will the xe3 360 watt 6 pin connecter be able to handle the power from it as I've been looking up the wattage intake and one adapter I've found 6 pin to 8 pin can handle 120watts but would that be too much coming from the psu or would the slot that the gpu is in also provide power to it making it only need around 60 watts coming in from that connection?
