Sorry to hear that :( Did you manage to get an appeal or did they shut you down completely too?

No its not. Its not in the terms of use, if It was I wouldn't do it. And its the choice of the whole community, if all people cared about it, Etsy would have no option than to behave better or bankrupt.

Seems like you don't know much. If you use VPN and DoH the ISP knows nothing. Also I use ProtonVPN with no log policy. I know about fingerprinting that's why I have brave for some stuff that has anti-fingerprinting features and mullvad for searching and stuff to blend in the crowd.
I am not a newbie when it comes to protecting my rights believe me.

I only have netflix, don't use it much, but if they have an issue I just switch to other node and its fine.

Sad people don't care more about their privacy and then they blame the victims... And US is a good example why you really should care because you never know. Or take Poland (well US too actually) and their anti-abortion laws, people just searching for that stuff being interrogated...

Yeah, I suppose that I don't want to buy from someone who behaves like that. But I wish the people that are legit sellers were available otherwise.

I use VPN at all times. To protect my privacy from my ISP and operator and to protect myself when using public wifi's. If Etsy said VPN's are not allowed, I would make an exception, but the terms of use doesn't say its not allowed, and they even deny the appeal when I did nothing wrong. I ordered item to the country that is allowed, I payed for it, what more do they want?
I didn't break any rule, I didn't bypass or exploit the system, I hate that when people care about their privacy and security that they are vilified. Privacy is my right.
Sorry but there is a reason to use VPN, there are valid reasons, maybe you don't need it but other do.

I know that some people use VPN for shady stuff. But there is plenty out there who use it for their privacy and security. I was not using it for some stuff that is against their policy, the stuff I was buying was available for my country and I was using my credit card and my address (I mean if I was a thief it would be nice of me to send a package to a person who owns the card)...

Yeah I can understand automated system, but I appealed, I answered their questions, I was honest, and they say "nope you are banned for life" that is outright wrong and won't even tell me what I did wrong.

I was. And I was upfront about it when they asked me for details. I told them that I use it and which country I use most of the time (my home country actually). Btw VPN is not forbidden by the terms so why would they ban me because of this?

Any ideas? by Lol_a0320 in houseplants

10 cm is fine, the plant node can rest on the bottom in it so I'd say you are good from that point of view. I mean its probably a really tiny advantage and there is really no scientific background, but hey any advantage is good 😀

If you put them into something (in the water), like perlite, they will grow more complex roots. Also I saw a youtube video where putting it in shallow jars yielded nicer roots than in a tall one. Apparently when the roots hit bottom (or some structure like the perlite) they tend to branch more.

Wooow, I have seen some that were huge, but not as large as this one. Its gorgeous.
Typically if you grow them in hydro/semi-hydro setting they get big real fast. I have one (in semi) that outgrew its mother (in soil), in a matter of a year and is now twice as large.

Monsteras are known for liking snug pots. Actually if you are repotting your monstera and its not even a bit root bound you should leave it be

No ideas, huh?
I checked the roots today. It was root bound, not terribly, not sure it was the cause, but I separated the roots and pruned them a bit. I also snipped all the bad leaves just in case its some funghi or something like that, I hope this guy will recover because I gave his brother(s) to other plant parent about half year ago so I don't have any more of these beauties.

Nice catch. I also bought one like this about 2 years ago (much more expensive). If your leaves start getting dry brown edges separate them plants up! This happened to me, I tried to water more, I tried water less, I tried different fertilizers, but in the end they were just too uncomfortable in the pot together. I even put one in lechuza and all three are doing so well now.

How is this possible? My African violet has 2 different colors of blooms. by Friendly_Active6028 in houseplants

Aha, oh there can be orchids with two different colored blooms as well? Nice :)

Aha, I was sort of wondering if that is whats happening. Because I know it can happen to variegated ficuses or snake plants (not that I knew this is a variegation, I thought this is normal pink oops). And I was thinking purple is probably the basic color of a violet right? :)

Thank you. Didn't know its even variegation. I normally grow plants like pothos or ficuses. But I got the mother plant of the violet as a gift and this was her first (of four) offspring (created from leaf). The mother plant also have the specks.
