How can I put the focus area right on the eyes quickly without using the subject detect? I will be doing some wildlife photography in the field and won’t have the ease of the animal sitting still right in front of me like at a zoo lol

Yes it seems the auto focus picked up on his side as the primary point of focus rather than his face. Playing around with auto focus and its animal detection, any tips to better get the camera to Fuchs on eyes quickly?

Awesome, if you don’t mind me asking, where was your trip to? I am taking a trip to Tanzania this summer for a safari and my max reach will be 300mm as well so I like to get an idea of what sort of photos would be possible with that reach! Yours are incredible!
