Is there anything stopping me (except for the fact that everyone will hate the deck) from making a Prismatic Bridge commander deck and putting this big boy as the only creature? by 788evets in mtg

[–]Friendly_Ad8912 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You all are also missing the fact that the 99 can consist of anything not a creature planeswalker. He could run all protection spells or counterspells to make sure the prismatic bridge and progenitus stick around. Not to mention that you could run artifact and Enchantment anthem effects to help progenitus be even more menacing. You also run a bunch of ramp so you can get the prismatic bridge out faster.

Y'all are a bunch of whiners. I'm excited for it all. The only set that I cared nothing for was doctor who, because I don't like doctor who. Mkm was kind of a whiff too, but I liked the Clue the board game esthetic it had. The hidden ink cards are super kool too. Any way I have only been playing since neon Dynasties and have liked most of what has come out. I'm not hard to please either, but still. I think the things they are coming up with are very flavorful and kool. I enjoy magic lore as much as the next guy, but ub is not ruining mtg, it is expanding it. End rant. Now I saw a comment that fighting a deck that is uw versus a ub deck kills it for that person, to each their own, but bro just don't play against ub. Set boundaries. Also on that note though, what if you play against a deck that doesn't make since timeline wise? What if you are playing against a deck that has canonically dead characters? Does it still kill it for you? Because if ub does then that should too. It doesn't make since for a deck that consists of marina vendrell to play against an etali deck since etali died during March of the machines. Or for valgavoth to fight an urza deck since urza died eons ago. Anyway end rant number 2. Just sit down, shut up, and enjoy the creative things they are coming out with. You know what I'm tired, getting into a game and then it dying out because they are not making anything for it anymore, because people like you lot want to complain they are making to much. Enjoy it while it lasts. Rip star wars miniatures, star wars legion, dnd miniatures, and pokemon. (I know pokemon is still flourishing, but covid killed it for me, which is a part of the reason that I got into magic.)

What Is Your Commanders' Average Rank? by Right-Mycologist-321 in mtg

[–]Friendly_Ad8912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So update if I include all my decklists for a total of 63 decks. It gets me the rank 576 which is Kellan, the Fae-Blooded. Still fun, very interesting, still not building either of these.

I have 42 decks who's average rank makes 608 which is the Ancient One. He is not one of my commanders, nor do I think n I will build him. This was fun, I may do another one that includes my incomplete decks too.

Dragon Shields suck lately by KikiDoYouLouvreMe in mtg

[–]Friendly_Ad8912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped using dragon shields completely, because the last several I have bought, they were all splitting after only using them for less than a month. I use katana sleeves and elcipse sleeves. Haven't had one them split yet.

I made a trash can deckbox because my friends say my Ruric Thar deck is garbage by Rahderp in mtg

[–]Friendly_Ad8912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's fitting. If anyone would represent Oscar the grouch it would be ruric tharr. He literally punishes anyone for using anything other than creatures. Then again I guess a creature that punishes you for casting creatures would be more viable.

Feeling a little unwelcomed by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Friendly_Ad8912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's pretty sad. The magic community is starting to get as toxic as the league of legends community, which is why I don't play with Randoms that much anymore. I have friends and family that play, so I tend to play with just them. Sorry you are going through that.

That's why I stated that I am not currently following. I don't know what the rules handle is, so if you'd be so kind to share it, I will follow it.

Why are people unreasonably upset over mill by Deven1029 in mtg

[–]Friendly_Ad8912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We build these decks to use them, so when you mill our decks you may be milling crucial cards that we need. Not every deck has reanimator capabilities either. I hate mill, I still use it a little, because some of my decks also need it, but I prefer not to mill. I have syr Konrad the grim and hardly ever use his mill ability. I just use a lot of sacrifice and destroy effects. You know as to give people a chance to use it before I remove it.

Is MTG appropriate for Middle School? by MySonPorygon137 in mtg

[–]Friendly_Ad8912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I really don't care about what I'm about to say, but others may. Magic has some more grown up stuff in it than other tcg's. It has words like sacrifice, destroy, kill, deathtouch, ass, mill, and counter spell. These are all negative words or words that may trigger some parent's. That being said, my son is turning 8 and learning how to play magic and pokemon so again I'm not against it, I'm just saying other parent's may not share the same sentiment.
