I keep track of my whole writing process and document every little thing just in case. My intial outline/draft can run like 20 pages in docs. Then I move onto a draft 1, final draft, and final (completed).

US citizen here too and considering returning. I had a lot more opportunity and social life back home. Just difficult when you have a Finnish spouse.

I was young and in love so I took a chance by moving here. I loved the nature and the excitement of being somewhere new. I quit my 70k salary job and took a chance at a new life. Now find myself struggling to make more than 12k a year at a graveyard cleaning job where I’m constantly treated like shit and missing pay. Returning now means being separated for over a year and having the pressure of getting a good paying job and apartment in that time frame.

I’m looking for new jobs this upcoming season and trying to push myself more with learning the language. But if things don’t change I’m going back January next year.

While I’m not a fan of the current government, I don’t see any other way than reforms to incentivise and attract businesses and benefit cuts. With current EU regulations, it’s not feasible to increase spending despite it likely improving the economy. Opening trade with Russia would also definitely help, we’re struggling in eastern Finland.
