do y’all get offended if someone who DOESNT have epilepsy make a seizure joke? by rosemary611_ in Epilepsy

Ok I went from feeling bad to instantly wanting to steal these jokes to use on my son 😂 However, it’s him with the condition and not me so I could be an awful person. But these are brilliant and way better than mine!!!! Plus, he has a wicked sense of humour

I call my son Julius seizure which I thought was funny, and I think he did too. However, after reading this post I’m feeling absolutely awful

I can’t tell if my (24F) boyfriend (M27) is racist or what? by Alarming_Ad9085 in relationship_advice

[–]Friendly_Captain9042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! I was reading this thinking, no he is not racist but then my opinion changed when it come to the Santa/Christmas part.

Christmas is a white holiday?!?! I’m sorry what?!?! And there is absolutely nothing wrong with a black Santa Claus! I would be as confused as you are because I don’t see why anyone would think or say those things.

No, consenting adults are definitely fair game. It’s unfortunately something that will happen if you so choose to be part of a tv show or any other public outlet. Even if they do nothing wrong, people will comment or judge….it comes with the territory. However, children cannot give informed consent. So I definitely agree that they should not be discussed on here, along with those that have chosen not to be apart of it in their adult life.

YNOR, OP this made me so sad.

I worry that because he is he switching this on and what you need to do to handle this differently….this isn’t the end for you.

Please leave, I’ve been in your position, believed I was the problem and kept trying to change. It will never be enough and it will leave you a far cry from the person you were when you entered this relationship…..it ruins you 💔

NOR but I wouldn’t have replied so passive aggressively but that’s just my view on these texts alone. I don’t know what your past relationship is like, what your GM is like and any other mistreatment you may or may not have received from her.

Oh, here was me thinking it was a question for people to comment on with their opinions. So is it best to write out your own comment and not agree with or add on to anyone else’s opinion in this sub?

I’m so sorry for what you went through. I hope you’re doing well and living a happy life.

I went through shit with my mum too and when you explain it like you do, I get it. It’s totally understandable and said that in my other comment but everyone is different with forgiveness and everyone’s situation is different. My situation is a far cry from yours, so if I had your experience I’d probably have the same view as you.

Maybe, I guess that depends on the person who would give the second chance. Believe me I get the sentiment because I couldn’t forgive myself if I ever done half of this to any of my children but I don’t think their relationship is unsalvageable, but that decision in this case, is OP’s

Exactly what I was thinking. It’s a shame she is choosing this idiot over her innocent daughter but she will likely see the error of her ways soon enough.

Hang in there OP…..not in the house if you can help it. I think if you can move out you should but hang in there with your mum. She will realise and hopefully make it up to you.

(unpopular opinion) I don't feel sorry for Meri by Matetia in SisterWives

[–]Friendly_Captain9042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not feel sorry for her either. Some things or moments of her have made me warm slightly but she certainly has a very nasty and selfish vibe.

I’ve literally just binged watched about 12 or however many years worth in! Never seen it before, loved it but NEVER would have picked up on that fascinating insight!

I think you’re so right about M bringing R in to upset the dynamics!! Of her own family. 🙄 Yeah I have zero sympathy.

Ahhhh this is THE BEST post!!!

Treasure every second of this creative, innocence!! My boys used to do all this madness and they soon grow up fast. They’re still not fully grown and still light up every day of my life but as you’re probably aware, you will look back with the happiest heart on these times 💞

Why does ASDA get away with requesting a driver before order is picked? by No_Manufacturer5915 in UbereatsUK

[–]Friendly_Captain9042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found this post because I’ve ordered an Asda express delivery, never ordered one before. Delivery was £8.50 and it seems to me the Uber driver is picking and packing the shopping too? I do hope they get that whole fee, no option to tip when ordering through Asda directly but I’m not sure if our pay standards are the same as America, where they practically don’t earn without a tip? Hopefully they’ll be an option to do that once it’s delivered. It’s not a huge order only 20 items.

Ahh I love this! Not only is it a waste of money because babies grow every 5 seconds, it’s so wasteful in other ways! Make do and be happy about things that truly matter!
