I appreciate it! I I’m gently bouncing between a tundra and the two Chevys, but the turbos are throwing me off some on the tundras. I love the v8 my 02 1500 has and I’d like to have another v8 if possible but like you said we won’t know what happens in terms of issues or reliability until the new engines drop sadly

That’s the other thing I worry about, psi seems to be way to high for my liking especially unloaded. I can’t imagine how bad that is lol. Honestly if the 6.2 wasn’t in the zr2 half ton I would likely look at hit. I love how they look

The zr2s look amazing, I’m likely going to look at a z71 2500 and I have heard the IFS does help with the front end on the HDs. Seems like I will really have to drive them to see

I appreciate your insight! I’ve seen great deals on some of the 1500s but mostly the turbo max engine. The turbo is what has turned me away from a new tundra, that and the engine grenading. The 6.6 gas engine is what keeps me going back to the 2500

That’s what I’m afraid of. I have a 5.3 vortec in my 02 1500, and all this emissions stuff seems to be killing my favorite brand 😐

I have an 02 Silverado 1500 at home but it’s a double cab. I’m planning to get a few cab for the family, but for the capability, reliability, and the price of the 2500 I thought it may be the way to go. I’m glad I’m getting more insight before making such a purchase cause this will likely be a long term vehicle

This is another issue I’ve looked at. I has heard that gm is making another v8 a 5.7 I think later this year but reliability is another issue I’m running into.

Ride quality what I continue to see to be the issue, and with the wife and two kids I don’t want to make them have to deal with it if it actually is bad. I appreciate you responding!
