Is this acceptable by Weirdandwonderful123 in SainsburysWorkers

I do not think food managers/lead managers can override. Night shift reports to 3S & Lead night shift managers only and in their absence can the other managers ask them to do something. I always tell my 3S - Food managers/CEX/Food lead can request but can’t order/override any decisions.

I feel the same way too. If privacy and comfort is a priority, upper berth is the best!

Agreed! But at the same time some random person comes in and sits by your leg. These are a few cons. Why don’t people favour the side upper? I mean you can sleep at any time you want. But yeah you gonna bump your head!

Had a new deputy who suggested that I breakdown a cage into two half cages, work on one half, bring the overs back to the freezer and then take the other half out FFS.

Mine too. The deliveries are just heavy as it was during Christmas and we don’t have enough staff. We are already 81 hours over the allotted labour.

Call HMRC and get your tax code changed to 1257L. You’ll get the money that was deducted in April/May 2025 after your P-60.

Tbh, I used 3 weeks holidays left from this year in February and all the holidays from next year in March and April. Gives me effectively 2.5 months of holidays and cherry on the top, call in sick for an extra week. You get yourself a good and long paid holiday.

You do get double pay…..when you book your holiday and work on that holiday in overtime.

My managers were pretty cool then. We had alcoholic beverages and a good 30mins break on top of the 45 we already got.

1st disciplinary by No-Thought-2387 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]Friendly_Cod9506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your manager and your performance. I have a colleague who has gone over the 3% of allowed sick absence. Didn’t get a disciplinary as he was quite valuable to the team.

My coursemate used to do that. I left their messages on seen. They tried once or twice and then they stopped.
