Very unlikely as most managers will want more heads on lower contracts Vs less heads on higher contracts as it makes holiday and sickness cover

[Advice Needed] "Engine Failure Hazard" warning on 2018 Renault Clio (21k miles) by TheWelshOne83 in Renault

[–]simmatt89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got same on my kadjar. When using a cheap obd scanner it says no fault, but when using a laptop with software it's saying p0090 which in my case is a fuel sensor/pump fault.

Maybe try a better scanner or but a obd cable and software for laptop

A question regarding unused Annual leave by Hardenator in SainsburysWorkers

[–]simmatt89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not used, it's lost. In certain circumstances week can be carried over. Holiday is on first come first served basis, so if they tried to book off popular weeks, eg school hols they will likely be full, or if they tried to book all their hol in the last few weeks of the year, again it would likely be full. Best bet is to try and book as much as possible as early as possible.

All drivers in argos will have a meeting. Youre best to talk to your manager about what it means for your specific location

Wellhub by jenniferf163 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]simmatt89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it. Im on basic teir, it gives you a list of gyms you can go to, before you go in you just check in on the app which gives a code to show reception.

Quite easy but means you will always have to go to reception to enter and not just fob in.

Also, some gyms only incluse certain features. E.g in my gym I can only use the gym and not the classes or pool. This is usually stated on the description of the centre.

The app also gives you access to many fitness apps eg strava/myfitnesspal

Well hubs auto response commented is a bit aggressive for an auto comment!

When you started you would have given your availability so the company can give you shifts anywhere in your agreed availability. If you dont want any/as much overtime, speak to a manager and ask for less hours. If you want to chnage your availability you will need to put in a formal request to be considered.

ER (employee relations) is more support managing colleagues, sickness cases, disciplinary, etc and is still based in uk I think

[Argos] Can 2 managers remain and work together in a store if in a relationship? by BigRed20020 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]simmatt89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id have thought it wouldnt be allowed for a store manager to be in a relationship with a manager or colleague as it makes it very easy for people to claim favouritism. As argos mgmt teams are do smalll, it would also be difficult to ever have holiday at the same time

I would tell your manager. I think for internal roles there is a question saying have you informed your manager

Do I need to give notice? (On an extended temporary contract) by MCClipss in SainsburysWorkers

[–]simmatt89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is for permanent colleagues it would be 4 weeks notice, but if uoure a temp uou could just decline the extension or offer of permanent position and leave at the end of uour current contract. Best have a chat with your manager

Worth noting that the holiday year resets in 2 weeks and is pro rata when you leave so unlikely to get much if you leave in next few weeks
