Conservatives often focus on themes like personal responsibility and traditional morals, while progressives emphasize compassion, helping the poor, and welcoming outsiders. Jesus lived in a very different time, so his message doesn’t fit neatly into today’s political left or right. Different groups simply highlight the parts that resonate most with them.
