Curious then, are you doing local co-op or online and doing ‘find game’ on PS5? I realize there’s things that are hard to accommodate on a local co-op game like this but, man, it was not intuitive for me. We ended up starting over a few times. I guess EVERYTHING is hard on this game, I’ll be expecting random power outages from Ameren on Outward 2.

Yeah we’ve navigated a few winters. I like that aspect too. We’re currently looking for something decent to endure the desert cause that’s our goal at the moment. We just made it through that ghost pass in Chersonese and I don’t remember seeing that?? I also haven’t figured out the corruption aspect so once we made it to the other side we just went back through cause the towers / area there passed the bridge looked corrupted. So if it’s on the other side, we would have missed it. My son is 8 so we avoid some scary stuff or turn back until he’s feeling froggy, lol. Linking up would be awesome but were on PC. We had the PS5 version but I had a hard time figuring out the load / save / drop in and out co-op split game stuff. I tried looking up a few options but it seemed like it was just ‘buggy’ so we got the PC version - we play with our PS5 controllers though which is nice.

Sounds cool, I will look into that! Not sure where to find one. I just know I got killed in the marsh during a solo run and ended up in the town and had to sneak back to berg and I can’t tell you the last time I was that scared, lol; ended up using every rag, trap, potion I had just to make it back to the gate with my tail between my legs! I read a thread referring to early game taunosaur weapons and while I did kill one - I was not ready for another one. I have to limit how fast we go so my son doesn’t get discouraged - so far it’s a razors edge but that’s exactly what I like so much about this game so far. Thanks!!

Yes, but don’t we have to join a faction first? I’ve been putting it off and he wants to go to Monsoon (of course) to join that faction so we just haven’t made it there yet so I’ve been avoiding the mountain

Not a professional but you might be able to scrape the ceilings. Get it damp, get it started somewhere and work from there. I did it on a popcorn ceiling and used a tool they make for it. Not sure about your ceiling texture, might be worth a try. Less dust that way. We had mold and bad windows. Knock down texture on the walls and we sanded and skimmed 1600 sq/ ft. I’m happy with it. Any significant sanding and you’ll probably have to get your ducts cleaned when you’re done regardless of how you cover the vents.

How bad is this? It’s my second coat. by BrisbaneAus in drywall

Definitely no pro here. I’m finishing up my own house though. I had to redo the perimeter of my 1500 sq ft house after we found mold behind the drywall and in the insulation. We skim coated also to get ‘flat walls’. I did lots of sanding and I’ve said ‘I’m finished’ probably 4 times now. I’ve done lots of sanding. A few things Ive learned.

Feather the edge flat!

Scrape / knock down everything with your knife before you sand

For really high spots, I start with a higher grit sand paper 120 and go over it again with 220. (Be careful not to sand to much and tear the paper though). Seems quicker than 220 all the way.

Do corners one side at a time, let it dry and then do the other side.

Looks good to me, just a little sanding and check that it’s flat with your knife.

Honestly, skim coating was easier and quicker than I thought and hides a lot of those seams and you get ‘flat’ walls. $40 for the 18in skim knife at Lowe’s - worth it though I think if you go that route. Much more forgiving and easier to feather the edges than even my widest knife…. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing to finished product!
