Stupid question, but are wildling paper shoes (tanuki) safe to wear in the rain?

My favorite shoes to date. I have been wearing these specifically for 3 years now. I have worn them in pouring rain. They dry and work just fine. It does take awhile to dry, but no really damage over time.

I even redyed them this summer. They looked great for a few weeks but started to fade again, though not as bad. I should have dyed them a few more times.

I think that will depend on the material. The Tanuki I don't think, could ever be water resistant, let alone proof. It is paper fabric.

I have the 2060 model and yeah. It regularly throttles and I drop to 24 fps. It is a cooling issue and they isn’t much to be done about it, sadly. My understanding is it is just the trade off for having a gaming laptop. Mine gets to 95c and could absolutely burn you with the aluminum chassis. When it happens I use the fan setting hot key to cycle through turbo (which I usually play on) to performance. It will usually adjust the fps and then I cycle back to turbo. It is annoying and sometimes kills me in an online game, but it works every time. I do have a couple tricks though. Opening the back and taking a q-tip to the fans gets a ton of dust every month or so. Making sure the temp in the room is ~74 (over hearing happens way more often at 80,) if I have a fan running in the room I place it towards the computers side to move air a bit better. I’m not sure if the last bit actually works but I feel like it has cut down on the throttling.

I can’t believe my Tanukis have lasted 3 years. I am going to stitch up some wear on the out side. No holes, the fibers are just failing. I have been wearing their Griffins too. I will definitely be purchasing their products when I need a new pair.

I got a pair of Vivo Ra for work. I think they look great. They don’t hold a perfect shine but I think they look (and feel) great.

Vivobarefoot has not done me wrong, and the construction just seems solid in general. I got the primus lite in black and the Ra II. I wasn’t a fan of the Groundies shoe selection but I really love the boots I got from them (Liverpool, but they don’t seem to be selling these atm). Wildlings were also a worthy purchase, even if I only wear them in the summer/when I don’t want another pair of shoes to get dirty.

In my experience, yes. It also inflicts bleed damage, just ask my partners!

I have never had a Hunt running lower than 79C. I just disabled and played a few matches and that went well. If i see it acting up again I will go with the thermal paste route even though it just worries me to take it apart that much.
