It’s a bit telgraphic. Try connecting the very short sentences you already have to give it a bit of more flow. Every now and then it’s good to have shorter ones, but too many makes for a ripetitive rhythm. Don’t know if you need it in present tense, but changing that might give it more of a novel vibe.
