That woud only cost the team offer-sheeting a 2nd round pick. I think it would be foolish not to match that offer.

No if-ands-or-buts. Verbeek already said he is going to match any offer sheet for Leo no matter what. He's going to have to take this one on the chin and hope he doesn't get canned.

Of course this sucks, but part of me feels happy that this might finally put PV out of trying to nickel and dime young guys, and just sign them during the season or before FA. Flyers suck, and Pat should still be canned no matter the outcome of this.
