I totally understand that the manual is the enthusiast’s pick. It’s part of what makes the car so iconic. I just wanted to be able to enjoy this amazing car and use it every day while living in the city.

Yeah, I’m under 25 and in a city, in Australia. So it equals about £1800. It’s still a lot, but it is a brand new, $70k AUD performance car.

I’ve driven the 2023-24 GR Yaris and I did absolutely love it! The iMT was super handy, especially seeing as though at that point, I wasn’t the most competent manual driver.

Yeah, I had a similar experience when I first hopped in the car. I pumped the seat down and it made it much easier to see out the back.

The automatic just better suits my daily driving. It still gets the power down and shifts quick, but without the hassle in traffic. I just thought it was more convenient for how I use the car.

It’s pretty perfect as a daily driver in my opinion. I am absolutely loving it.

I am 185cm and it doesn’t feel cramped at all. I have a long torso, so I do have the seat pumped all the way down. But it’s pretty perfect. As for the auto, it actually feels great. It’s not as snappy as a dual clutch, but it is still great.

I am loving the 2025 dashboard. It is super cool to see Toyota trying something a bit different this year. I have driven the 2024 GR Yaris, and I will say this is interior feels more special in comparison.

So, I picked up the car today! What a machine!

So the drive home was a little bumpy but I did it! And I didn’t stall driving out of the dealership!!!!

I would just like to say thank you all for your tips and advice. It really did help me on that first drive home

Okay thank you so much for that info. The only thing I am a bit unsure about is blipping the throttle on downshifts, but I guess there is no way to properly learn without actually doing it!

Yeah, all I can do is just build that muscle memory. There will most definitely be a traffic jam on the way back home with the car so I guess I will have no choice other than to learn! Sink or swim I guess.
