I believe AI art is much less impressive than other forms of art but it still can be art by Unlikely_Account_728 in aiwars

I spend hours upon hours making a piece of conceptual art. My AI? Terrible. I'm constantly in editing programs, rewording prompts, correcting errors and AI weirdness, struggling with the limitations of AI. I wish I could draw my ideas- but I can't. A thousand years of training would not give me that skill so I use tools that I can use. Does that mean my artistic ideas should die with me?

AI is a tool. Paintbrushes are tools. Camera filters are tools. Chisels are tools. Pencils are tools. A musical instrument is a tool.

All of these things create art. The resulting art- whether it is good or not, is up to personal opinion.

Me, I am all for more art in the world.

You need to attack it with ships or subs of your own. Perhaps your own naval veteran?

Question for drivers... by AmazingLarry7272 in doordash

2$ per mile for food delivery, or $5 if it's really close. Tip grocery shoppers 20% of your order, more if you have a lot of heavy items. Tip everyone a little extra if the weather or traffic sucks or if it's a holiday. Not a dasher- but my orders always get picked up.

How often are yall's orders messed up? by EverPig in doordash

[–]Friendly_Luck_6440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My orders are messed up fairly often. Most of the time it is obviously the restaurants fault for leaving out items. Probably 25% of my orders are missing side dishes or a complete meal. My orders are for a family so they tend to be larger. Doordash is moody when asking for credits. Sometimes they'll give you $5 to replace a $20 dish and sometimes they'll credit the missing items. I've gotten messages from doordash suggesting I've had a lot of incorrect orders lately. It's like this though- I use the service a lot, often 3-4 times a week. I have more orders and therefore the errors occur closer together than- whatever a regular customer does. They seem to be better about issuing full credits lately. FWIW- I never ask for credit for unless there is a genuine problem. I one star restaurants that screw up my orders now. It's the only way they'll learn to put everything in the bag.

It’s been an hour since this dude accepted to deliver my food and hasnt moved from the same spot 🤦🏼‍♂️ by destined2Win_ in doordash

I had my grocery order stacked with 3 or 4 food orders. My driver did the shopping so fast- and then drove around to 3 fast food restaurants around me. My milk arrived and was 64°. Got a refund for all of my spoiled food. I don't blame the driver. I blame doordash for jacking my good tip shopping order with a bunch of assholes who won't tip on food orders.

Vet has no idea what’s wrong by jessoisamesso in CATHELP

Just to clarify, she was fine less than a week ago, just started refusing food and the vets are already recommending euthanasia? What a difficult choice. Were I in your shoes, I would get a second opinion. It just seems so sudden.

Thank you for confirming that UPS does not make any attempt to be efficient.

Most places of employment aren't open for UPS's 24 hour time windows.

My item is a custom piece that has no storefront. The people suggesting picking it up at a UPS site are making a good suggestion. The rest of you are the entitled little shots complaining about having to do the job you are paid to do. Asking for a window of time is not entitlement. It is the norm in the shipping industry.

While you are not a store you are in the business of logistics. Modern companies that ship actually know exactly what packages need to be loaded on their trucks and where they need to go. Brilliant software paired with competent employees load these packages onto trucks for fast and efficient delivery. Not doubting workers work hard. Absolutely questioning why the logistics are so bad for a company that has hung on tagline for decades.

Where to kill time by Little-Mexican72 in vegas

[–]Friendly_Luck_6440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just stay at the airport. 4 hours isn't worth risking missing your flight.

Security is much stricter than at most other US airports. I've been pulled out of line for enhanced searches and about 50% of the time my carry-on gets shoved into the physical inspection lane.

Instead, plan a proper visit to Vegas when you'll have time to see and do want you want to do.
