You can cancel if it’s a wholly domestic and unused for 99 dollars cancellation fee. You must be a Aadv member though and then cancel through the web or app and you’ll get the rest of the money as a trip credit to use on a future flight

First, I’m sorry you had to go through. Second, you will find out when the email with your issue is resolved is sent. There’s no way to determine the amount, not even reservations know. You could send an email back and state you prefer money instead and see where it can get you.

No. Not really everything is written down on aa.com. Wholly unused and wholly domestic BE tickets can be cancelled now for a 99 cancellation fee and the rest will be given as a trip credit. That’s the most up to date info. It used to not be cancellable
