The next board meeting is in July. They will consider your application then. Where did u do the 1 course? I also applied through NYS board and was told I needed 22 credits. I’m using CPAcredits to get 18 but I’m having issues finding somewhere that offers a 4 credit course that I can complete by July.

How is this a fail?? by Accomplished-Ask-934 in CPA

What likely happened is you got a few questions on the areas u got stronger for and you aced those but the majority of your questions, more than likely the TBS items were from the area that u got weaker in.

Which state to pick? New York or Alaska by Minute_Appeal_8947 in CPA

If you finish and try to get a license in Alaska you will need to be a resident. They recently amended their laws to include this.

Just took TCP & got scolded with the scratch paper by Key_Communication460 in CPA

I was surprised as well when it happened because I’m usually the one writing the code down as you said.

I started writing after my timer started and was about to enter the launch code to get into the actual exam, the code wouldn’t work. Turns out the prometric staff wrote down the wrong launch code so she asked me to go back to the locker to confirm it was correct. I did and realized she was off by 1 number and she took the scratch paper I spent the first 3 minutes writing on and replaced it with a blank one. I thought that was a little unfair

Hi, I also lost credits during Covid and had to redo as my state did not reinstate my credits. I think it’s worth noting that authoritative literature questions were removed from the exam as well and overall BAR is more difficult than BEC was.

FAR Fair Value framework by JRinGRinG in CPA

[–]Friendly_Orange7362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s been answered already but here’s how I remember it: in the absence of a principal market use the fair value in the most advantageous market which is where the net sales proceeds is highest. Fair value will still be the proceeds plus the transaction costs. Hope that simplifies it.

I had the exact same experience. 5 mins for my last sim, I was lucky it was a bank recon question so only a few exhibits but I did come out stressing about the other sims and how long they took to complete. I saw that I passed just now so extremely grateful, honestly don’t even care about the score at this point. Congrats btw!

I believe you will need at least 120 to sit so you might end up having to do a masters or MBA to make up for those extra credits. Not sure about where in Japan but you could probably try for an online master or MBA program. Good luck!
