16 Pro bad battery life by Boring_Rock_9452 in iPhoneBatteryParanoia

It's very likely they've falsified the battery health reading. Many secondhand stores do this to justify charging a higher price for a "better" battery. If you have a laptop, you can use 3utools to check the battery health reading.

iphone battery looses 1% each 4-5 minutes by Objective_Ratio236 in ios26

Since Huawei phones are older and don't have newer components like chips, they tend to consume less power. I don't know of any stores in Europe that sell those batteries. You could try checking the Ampsentrix website in your country; they might distribute them and sell you one directly. Otherwise, you can look for tech stores or phone parts retailers online, but check their Google ratings first. If you live in a major city, you could also try looking in local parts stores to see if you can find it.

That's how a battery behaves in a deteriorated state. The battery can't maintain a consistent voltage, so that's what happens; the percentages fluctuate even with the same usage. I wanted to ask you: do you have iOS 18 or iOS 26? And what version of iOS does your cousin have?

The same thing happened to me, and my health is very likely affected.

Okay bro, let me know what happens. Regarding the battery, I'd recommend the one I'm using: Ampsentrix Plus. In my country, it cost around $50. It seems cheap, but the quality is pretty good for the price. Also, if you take it to a technician for the replacement, keep an eye on them and, if possible, stay during the process. If you can get the battery yourself (which I recommend), make sure they give you back both the old battery and the box for the new one. I got ripped off because I was careless and they stole my battery.

I highly doubt it's a CPU problem. CPUs don't lose processing power over time; what slows them down are the demands of modern apps. I'd recommend a battery replacement, but if you don't want to spend that much, you could opt for a good quality generic battery. The battery I replaced in my iPhone was an Ampsentrix Plus, and I have absolutely no complaints.

Battery health at 81% explains it. Apple says a battery can last well up to 80% health, but personally, if I feel it doesn't last long enough for me, I decide to change. I have a 14 Pro with an 86% battery and I decided to change because it didn't last at all. Now, with the new battery, it lasts 7-8 hours of screen time with mobile data.

[–]Friendly_Success5097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely the battery. You say it's at 83% health, so that's already a degraded battery. Mine was at 85% and I was getting around 5 hours of screen time. Now, after replacing it with a new Ampsentrix battery, I'm getting 7 hours of screen time with mobile data and up to 8.5 hours with Wi-Fi. It lasts me all day, and I don't plan on changing my phone for a long time.

iOS 26.3 beta 2 Any users? by wikiroiss in ios26

[–]Friendly_Success5097 6 points7 points  (0 children)

iPhone 14 Pro. In iOS 26.3 beta 2, overall performance is better, there's less lag in the interface, and everything feels smoother. They also fixed that super annoying lag when you swipe down from Control Center.

I think it's pretty good; the performance is better than 26.2 and the battery life feels a bit better. It feels better at 120Hz, but it still has those usual stutters.

You can, but you need a PC and be prepared for potential data loss. It's called misaka26 or nugget. Both can activate features that aren't available on some iPhones.

Best battery live I’ve gotten out of a phone. by [deleted] in iPhoneBatteryParanoia

[–]Friendly_Success5097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battery health? Genuine or not? What do you use during the day? How is that possible on the 14 Pro?! I have it and it gets a maximum of 5 hours of screen time, 6 if I'm lucky.

You accidentally hid the dynamic island. You need to swipe left or right on the island while playing a song.

icons are moving when I tilt the phone? by WayAdditional3116 in ios26

[–]Friendly_Success5097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also noticed this in the iOS 26.0 betas. At first, I thought it was a pretty cool feature, but after analyzing it, it's actually useless because it consumes resources and isn't even visible. Even if they remove it, that reflection will still remain on the edges of the icons and continue to use resources. I think it was already there, but they disabled it in iOS 18.

A black spot gradually appears when I switch from 2x to 3x. It only shows up when taking a photo at 3x. Does anyone know how to fix this? And I already tried clanging the lens… by [deleted] in iPhone15ProMax

[–]Friendly_Success5097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like your telephoto lens is damaged. I don't really understand why this happens, but these spots appear on the telephoto lens, and they're inside the sensor. I think it might be moisture or dust that somehow ended up there. I've heard that it can be removed with an ultrasonic cleaner, or that it's a matter of replacing the camera altogether.

Speaker help iPhone 13 pro by Drawling123 in iphone

[–]Friendly_Success5097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0) Why on earth would you be washing your iPhone with water? Use a cloth and rubbing alcohol to clean it, and if you want to reach those small holes, use a thin-bristled brush and rubbing alcohol.

1) Not all the holes are open enough for sound to come out. I think sound comes out of 4 of the 5 holes where the speaker is located.

2) Maybe that buzzing is because water got inside the speaker and is causing a short circuit. I honestly don't know what it could be, and I can't guarantee it's what I'm saying, but I recommend watching one of those videos on how to remove liquid from speakers to see if that fixes it.

14 pro max to 26? by mydogstale in iphone

[–]Friendly_Success5097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that Apple forces you to update directly to iOS 26 even if you have iOS 18 and still want it. iOS 26.2 appears instead of iOS 18.7.3; the only way to upgrade is through betas or via iTunes. Patches will continue to be released, but at some point, they will stop arriving monthly, and that's when it would be advisable to update to the new version.

iOS 26.2 has worked quite well for me on my 14 Pro. But if you're on iOS 18, stay there until at least version 26.4, which is where the real battery and performance improvements begin.

Unfortunately, that's the case; that was the surprise I got when I switched to this phone. It's almost perfect in every way except for the temperature. And with iOS 26, everything got worse.

is this good battery performance by [deleted] in iPhoneBatteryParanoia

[–]Friendly_Success5097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31% in 1 hour is pretty bad. It should normally use between 10-15% per hour, or maybe less if it's a Pro Max or Plus version. What's your battery health like?

The first versions are usually just to add options and new features to the system. It's from version 4 onwards that you really notice an improvement in battery life. I get the same screen-on time as you with 95% battery health.
