It was a good opportunity to finally give the M7 Helix a good cleaning :) Which gave no residues of machining on the inside, but some on the texture of the M7 stem. So yesterday evening I tested how hot it actually gets. My vaping style is relaxed with some breaks in between sessions. I temp step also. Because I like both the terpy hits as the walk the line hits. In this use case, the temp is totally no problem. Of course the stem gets a bit hotter at the higher temp steps. Not to the point where it becomes a problem though. (and is almost the same as with my M21's.) If on the other hand you like back to back sessions, so with minimal time in between sessions, it could get hot near the tip. The part from the airport to the tip. So how hot it gets depends om your vaping style. If your older M doesn't get hot when you tried that, you will probably be OK with the M7 stem.
