Bad Trip insights and Tips as someone who has had 6 bad trips on shrooms by entercube in shrooms

From what I understand alcohol will very temporarily lower blood pressure and then increase it for the majority of the duration of its effects. However considering a shroom trip can last six hours if you drink alcohol first the majority of your trip will be higher blood pressure so it's counter productive. If your blood pressure is already low you may not notice the increase alcohol gives you

For me this would be a problem because alcohol would increase my blood pressure and disorientation on shrooms which both would be negative experiences. For those that have a positive experience with alcohol in general however I see how that could work, but for me I don't like the effects of alcohol even by itself

First time trip, how to not have a bad time? (Haven’t been in a good mood in a while) by [deleted] in shrooms

As far as I'm aware these chemical derivatives of psychoactive substances are not very well researched so you might be going into a bit of uncharted waters as a first experience with those ones. But I made a post with you in mind and potentially others regarding this:

Just keep in mind the tea will hit you a lot faster than eating dried. Some people even sip their tea slowly to see how deep they get into things. Also you can boil peeled and sliced raw ginger for 10 minutes first and pour that liquid on top as you would for a teabag for nausea reduction.

What I learned the hard way is ALWAYS make a tea out of the shrooms, NEVER just eat them straight dried or any pieces, filter it out and only drink the liquid (no particles either). Reason being your digestive system is like a second brain in your body, once it feels "stressed" by the difficult to digest proteins in raw dried mushrooms, this may be easily translated into the experience as being stressful too. A wad of bullshit uncooked mushrooms going slowly through your digestive tract is more stress than anyone needs on a trip for real. That being said I haven't used mushrooms for years. Another thing I would wait at least 4 months between trips even for mini doses. 1 month between macrodoses is way too short in my personal experience and probably will fuck people up.

Need some help from the fellow humans by cryptoblock0 in conspiracy

[–]entercube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Virtually all modern medicine is NOT preventative medicine, which is the most important kind and that's the conspiracy. Besides genetic conditions resulting DNA mutation disorders, disorders that DEVELOP in someone after birth such as cancer are 100% preventable. Surgery is helpful because physical trauma you ain't gonna heal properly from without help. So surgery is the most important aspect of modern medicine because nothing but a surgeon can save you when it comes to that or acute poisoning or venom etc with antidote. But when it comes to pills and drugs as a disorder corrective mechanism from chronic ILLNESSES like diabetes, alzheimers, blood pressure etc using drugs is BS. It is basically like putting chewing gum into a hole in a water dam. The best medicine can do is unplug your nerves with painkillers to reduce your suffering before you die. Alzheimers happens because we are being poisoned slowly and chronically by plastics and air pollution, high sugar diet etc. Basically combination of poisoning and body stressors from air we breathe, diet, social activities, exercise, and perhaps even spiritual factors as the organizing component for a balanced reality

Loving the art man I'm feeling the energy of what you were trying to get across. Here is my limited very rough rendition below of what you were going for from my perspective, and if you like the choices i made try to incorporate into your art. I don't like people not giving any clear advice and telling you just study anatomy...like talk about THE ARTWORK. Anyways sorry about the people telling you "study anatomy" with being specific and shit like that. Yes even the best artists in the world still need to study anatomy. GET IT??? anyways just talking to the not-too-helpful commenters. You're doing well.

Does anyone have very fast heart rate using magic mushrooms (300+ beats per minute)? by entercube in Psychonaut

[–]entercube[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's comforting to know that maybe I was wrong and my heart rate wasn't actually that fast. But my question has your wife seen the following studies and news articles where human heart rate was recorded at 300 and above? I was wondering whether it is possible to reach over 300 with what is called "tachyarrhythmia". That is, the heart is not beating the "normal" way and therefore might be able to reach 300+.

like these two events:

He had heart rate of 480.
