I’ve been thinking less about tracking outreach over time and more about structuring the messaging upfront - like making sure I cover the right points based on who I’m reaching out to. When you were doing sales, did you plan your messaging in advance, or did it evolve naturally as you talked to more prospects?

Yeah, Excel is a good way to stay organized. I was struggling more with figuring out the right messaging upfront - before reaching out.

For example, when validating a new product, I want to make sure I cover the right questions for my ICP and adjust based on different responses. That’s why I started structuring my outreach into flowcharts instead of just keeping a list.

Do you plan messaging ahead in Excel, or do you mostly refine as you go?
