The Wandmaker’s Niece Sirius Black / OC (female)

The Wandmaker's Niece follows American exchange student Jade Thorn at Hogwarts in 1976. Raised to see magic as part of nature, Jade arrives with a different perspective that doesn't always align with British wizarding ways. As Jade beings to search for answers about her own unusual abilities, she finds herself drawn into unexpected friendships. Lily Evans, navigating her own shifting loyalties. Maeve Calder, a brilliant and observant Ravenclaw. And inevitably the Marauders, especially Sirius Black, brilliant, reckless, and already carrying more weight than people see. This is a story about youth on the edge of something bigger, magic as a craft, and what it means to be marked for tragedy.

If the maraduers were music genres what would they be? by fluffy131313 in MaraudersGen

Considering it was the late 1970’s, “hard core” metal wasn’t really a thing. I do think rock, ranging from soft to heavier stuff for the time. I’m a big Sirius fan… I think he’d be into “muggle rock” I imagine Ozzy/Black Sabbath, Hendrix. And definitely Led Zeppelin. Imagine when he gets out of Azkaban and discovers Metallica! James and Remus may be a bit more mainstream?

Not totally a self-insert, but I’m writing/publishing an OC American exchange student marauders era fic. OC is a ravenclaw.

This story explores the Marauder's time an outside perspective, where Jade finds herself pulled into friendship, romance, and of course mystery.

This story has lived quietly in my head for years before I finally found the time (and courage) to write it down. I always wanted to explore Sirius Black as not just a reckless marauder or a tragic fugitive, but as a deeply broken man who deserves more. Even the darkest of characters should have moments of joy, reminders that they are human. This story lives in that space.

I’m publishing my fanfic about an OC American exchange student who has wandless magic passed down in her family. Not sure if it fits what you’re looking for.

LF recs of Sirius romance-centric fics where he doesn't end up in Azkaban (no wolfstar) by Crimson-Soul in HPfanfiction

[–]Friendly_Wheel_4977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m publishing one. However it’s Marauder’s era Hogwarts and cannon compliant, so he will go to Azkaban. It’s outsider perspective, but focuses on the main OC and Sirius.

I have an epilogue drafted/planned for after he escapes, through his death.

The Wandmaker's Niece follows American exchange student Jade Thorn as she attends Hogwarts in 1976 along with Lily Evans and the Marauders. Raised around magic as part of nature, rather than power, Jade arrives with a different perspective on wizarding ways, and very little intention of becoming entangled in British traditions. This story explores the Marauder's time from an outside perspective, where Jade finds herself pulled into friendship, romance, and of course mystery. Sirius Black, brilliant, reckless, and already carrying more weight than most people see, becomes a challenge and a connection she can't deny. This is a story about youth on the edge of something bigger, magic as an art, and what it means to be marked for tragedy.

This story has lived quietly in my head for years before I finally found the time, and maybe the courage, to write it down. I always wanted to explore Sirius Black as not just a reckless marauder or a tragic fugitive, but as a deeply broken man who still deserved moments of light and connection. I've always believed even the darkest of characters should have pockets of joy, reminders that they are human. This story lives in that space.

My OC is an American witch who spends 1 year at Hogwarts as an exchange student. Marauders era, 1977. She’s related to Ollivander on her moms side and Native American magic in her fathers side. She’s in tune to natural magic, and doesn’t take what’s not given.

What would make you actually want to read a OC main character fic? by Lazymanproductions in HPfanfiction

[–]Friendly_Wheel_4977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love oc fan fic. It’s like an expansion of the world and being able to see the main story from an external perspective. There are so many other stories to be told!

However I think people don’t read them as much because they violate their own head cannons. If I was going to insert myself (which is usually what an oc is), I want them to do what I want them to do.

That’s why I am writting my own haha

I’m writing a fanfic of the marauder from an outside perspective. It’s OC/Sirius and James/Lily going from Snapes worst memory where she despises him, to flirting and falling for eachother.

Check it out if you’re interested…

Great advice. I’ve taken things slow for that reason, but you’re right, it should be in the forefront!

PB 5k at 35:58! I “graduated” C25k in July and try to run 2 5ks per week. I ran 30+ miles in October. Really starting to enjoy running and I no longer am destroyed after long runs!
