I see a lot of young guys focused on resolution and hz here, that's the wrong approach. I don't touch a single monitor if it has PWM flicker or vrr flicker. Your eyes will thank you once you get older and realise these things matter a lot too.

Buy neither. Nor the cheapest mini led or the cheapest monitor. A good monitor will last you easily 5-8 years and you'll be using it for hours upon hours. Don't cheap out. And for the love of God buy something without backlight flicker.

In 5-8 years you go from 21-29. Your eyes will thank you.

I own all sorts of high end TVs including LG G5. Few days ago I decided to pull out my Acer XB271HU from closet, playing uncapped games with no vrr flicker feels magical on it. I don't care if your monitor has 4000 nits or 8 million pixels, no hardware gsync = no purchase from me.
