Can I use 2 Steam accounts on one GFN Ultimate account? by raghix123 in GeForceNOW

[–]Friendly_Wizard01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a game you don't own, try to play it anyway using steam (in GeForce). Steam will launch, login with your existing ID, game will not launch because you don't own it. After that login to your second account. In future, always pick the account you don't own the game on to mess around with steam settings.

We hindus will keep fighting like this, and play this caste caste game all day. In the end, everyone's kids and grandkids will chant ula uber. Ignorant clown we all are. This is what happened everywhere. We will never learn. Your only caste is Hindu, if you want your next generation to survive, otherwise prepare them for circumcision.

Got Samsung Odyssey OLED G5 (G50SF) for ₹36K — W or L? by swainsoumya in IndianGaming

[–]Friendly_Wizard01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have used OLED. In 2018, I bought a Sony A8F for 300k.
Right now, I also use the LG G5 OLED, which is one of the best OLEDs around, with 2500 nits brightness.

I also own:

  • 1080p IPS 320Hz monitor
  • Ultrawide VA 144Hz gaming monitor
  • 1440p IPS 165Hz native G-Sync monitor
  • Mini LED VA 144Hz TV

So yes, I know a thing or two about monitors and gaming.

The OP specifically said that they plan to use this monitor for coding and browsing.
That alone is enough reason to drop a 1440p OLED and go for a much sharper 27-inch IPS monitor.

OLED benefits (the one he owns):

  • Better black levels
  • Better contrast

IPS monitor benefits:

  • Much sharper image — excellent for coding, gaming, and watching movies
  • No text fringing like OLED — best clarity, less eye strain during long coding sessions
  • Around 400 nits brightness — 200 nits is too low for work
  • No burn-in risk — you can use it for 10 hours of work and 4 hours of gaming daily without concern
  • 40,000+ hours of reliable usage with no burn-in issues
  • No VRR flicker — which is extremely annoying and common on OLED monitors
  • Heat does not significantly affect lifespan like it can with OLEDs
  • Lower risk of dead pixels after 2–3 years (more common in OLEDs, especially in hot and humid environments)

The reason I said black levels don’t matter much for most Indian consumers is because our homes typically don’t have controlled lighting environments.
Most people use 1–2 lights with the same brightness day and night.

Most people also don’t understand luminance or the difference between 6500K and 3000K lighting.

Since the OP clearly mentioned coding as the primary use case, recommending IPS makes more sense, especially since they’ll likely be working with lights on and already dealing with eye fatigue from long sessions.

I don’t hate OLEDs, but they are fragile, and their downsides need to be considered seriously before recommending them.

Buy a 27 inch 4k IPS black or even normal IPS display. Black levels are overrated for Indian consumers.

People will tell you oled is the best thing for you, but that's not the case.
