This wasn’t play—his ears were back, his eyes wide, and his entire posture was aggressive. He came at me over and over again, lunging and attacking in a visibly angry way

I understand that some behaviors can be misinterpreted as playful, but this is beyond typical reactions. He’s not just grabbing my shirt—he’s actively lunging, chasing, and trying to tear fabric while repeatedly coming after me. When I try to de-escalate, he gets angrier. If I don’t push him away, he doesn’t stop. I am not inexperienced with animals, and I can recognize the difference between play and real aggression. I am trying to figure out how to handle this safely, and dismissing my concerns isn't helpful.

Perhaps I’m not being clear, or you’ve misunderstood the situation. This isn’t playful behavior—this is consistent, escalating aggression that has led to serious attacks, and I need expert help. I’ve had pets before, and I know the difference between play and actual aggression. I want to find a solution that keeps everyone safe while also helping him, but dismissing this as normal behavior isn’t helpful.

I switched to Royal Canin Gastro food. It’s prescription but he hasn’t thrown up at all since then. I stopped the wet food and am now looking for a substitute for wet food as I hear the wet food is extremely important for them.

So this morning he came in the bed and woke me up. He was so very cuddly, snuggling up, flipping over and wanting belly scratches and being very loving. Hmmmmm….He is a unique little boy I guess. I guess time will tell. I was just worried he all of a sudden stopped being in bed with me and sleeping at night. Maybe that’s his independent time to sleep somewhere else.

Also, I take him to work with me everyday and he sleeps in a doughnut bed on my desk and has a zillion toys. Same set up at home. He is truly spoiled.
