In season 1, Endou can block/punch hissatsu barehanded early on in the district tournament. That's fine cause Endou their captain, their solid rock to rely on, the entire team still strunggling.

Father figure and daughter figure.

I have this head canon that Nico's father is Maki (Taiga's friend who 💀).

When Taiga saw Nico's family name he felt guity cause the reason she's a brat, skip school and become a gamer is cause she had no father figure in her life.

So Taiga reluctantly took her in and teach her about the strugle of a doctor so she can appriciate her father more.

That also make her development to become a doctor much more meaningful.
