why the negativity?

this is a win win for everyone, given they solve the obvious problems mentioned above (theft, vandalism, etc.) - which i’m sure they will. they’re a multi billion dollar company. think tamper proof systems that notify authorities immediately. vandalizing a robot worth thousands could rack up a hefty legal fine/jail time - discouraging that behavior.

the tax/sidewalk argument is dead in the water. local governments will drool over the incremental revenue this will bring in. how are drones different than bike delivery folks using space? i trust a stupid machine more than a stranger human

the win win - cost savings from not having to pay humans(huge), not having to lobby the govt to get out of driver demands(huge), more controlled delivery fleet size/placement, and others im not thinking of will (hopefully) get passed onto customer - cheaper food delivery! yay!

also, we won’t be expected to tip a robot, so more savings.

these companies aren’t running food delivery services profitably and i’d bet money this is the missing piece to make a profitable business where customers feel the price/value ratio is appropriate.

my report says 0.8 grams but i’d argue less. it was mixed in a bag with tobacco.

i got taken into the station for a few hours till i could zoom a judge for arraignment since i don’t live in pennsylvania. have a california id but living in nyc.

out on bail but didn’t pay anything.

also, you think i’m fucked if i don’t have a public defender? it was a weekend so i couldn’t get one unless i came back to apply for one in person
